The event was Michael Griffin's worldwide $100,000.00 CHALLENGE which is open to anyone in the world who can keep him, prisoner, this has ranged in the past from heavy boxes varnished shut in Singapore to hermetically sealed steel coffins from an undertaker to being tied up with rope by the man with the worlds largest biceps, Gregg Valentino and even helping authorities to catch a murderer. Challenge to Michael Griffin Escape Artist According to Griffin " everything I've ever done and every place I've ever been led me to this fateful night in Kokomo, IN. I had been challenged by Kirk Amos a gentleman who was retired US Army and close to showtime almost at the last minute a Sheriffs Deputy from Howard County Indiana appeared with a handcuff I've never seen, I was floored. I have heard of the BOA handcuff but never seen one in all my travels, I was nervous". The handcuff was 1 of 3 the Sheriffs Department had ordered due to one highly unusual prisoner and they decided to bring it out and put the Escape Artist to the test. Griffin was thoroughly searched and found to have no tools or lock opening device on his person or in the waterproof canvas bag he was to be placed into after being shackled. His hands were locked in an unusual manner forcing them apart and away from his body up around his neck and cutting tightly into his breathing, his face turning red from lack of circulation, he was further shackled with chains running down to and connected around his ankles. Griffin could barely move. The Escapeguy invited the audience to take one last breath of air with him and let the crowd know that in the event of an emergency the gentlemen on stage would do everything in their power to get him out of the bag, get the cuffs off him and if possible revive him. The bag was sealed, the time raced by just over 4 minutes and Griffin lept free of the bag and holding the cuffs high in celebration. After catching his breath and immediately after the show the challengers were talking with him and even posing with the Super Security Un Pickable Handcuff, the Sheriffs Deputy shaking Griffins hand said, "legit"
