I have never seen this question asked before, but if it has let me apologize now.

How many Svengalis/worms do you bring to pitch at a particular event? Is there a percentage based on the projected attendance?
Lets say the attendance is 5000 people, is 2 gross of each enough?

I'm sure it depends on the event, example a week long fair vs. a single day street festival.

It's NEVER good to run out of product, but on the other hand, how much is too much?


Is there some "general" rule of thumb?

Hey Mark, I don't pitch the worm but on Svengali decks it varies.. depending on size of event and how many days of the event.. but on average I usually bring with me about a gross for each day (I don't always sell 'em.. If it all goes great! But if it doesn't its not wasted merch as I can use it for the next event.. I also bring other slum for rehash..

Just as a note, at Fleamarkets I have never sold a gross.. Hope this helps!

The more you have, the more you will sell. Buy as much product as you can carry and your cash flow will allow. I would also get a lot of product shipped to the event I was working, either directly or to the hotel I was staying. I would sometimes make wholesale deals at the end and still turn a profit on that.
