A really nice, visual piece of close - up magic that is done with an ordinary, recognizable item and leaves them with an impossible object souvenir at the end Tyler Twombly is a really creative magician that you all are going to be seeing a lot more from soon! Enjoy and download it today from your favorite dealer!

Very impressive. Will have to get this. Anyone can comment on usability in the real world?

I got this back in December. Here is the review I posted previously. (funny that the two best Vault releases thus far both involve post-it notes)
A while back I reviewed Object Permanence by Tyler. He now has a new version out that is a steal at $10. Hopefully the link above works. If not, you can find this at all dealers and through Murphys. In my opinion, it's the best moving ink effect on the market. It uses a post-it pad and sharpie. The download teaches the original Object Permanence routines and then two new handlings that are both great. The ad copy is very accurate as is the demo video. The download is shot very well and the teaching is very clear. There are multiple live performances on the 1 hour download so you can see all the variations in the real world. I don't know Tyler but he's very likable and easy to follow. Hearts is my favorite of the new routines. You draw two hearts on a post-it pad. In one you put the first initial of one person. In the other, you put the first initial of the second person in the couple. You then visibly drag the first heart onto the second heart. Now there is one heart with both initials. You immediately, with no switch, hand the post it note to the couple for full examination. The best part of all of the routines is that they are all very visual and there is no switch of the altered post-it note in any of the routines. So the spectators can burn the pad and even remove the altered post-it notes themselves. There is some arts and crafts involved but Tyler clearly walks you through everything. There are no magnets (which makes the gimmicks/set-up much more secure during both transport and the actual routines) and the prep for all the routines is very easy. You essentially just need a pad, sharpie and some scissors. The teaching is thorough and Tyler walks you through various ways to reset, including how to set the pads up so you can reset almost instantly. If you are like me and are always looking for a non-card, non-coin item to mix up your set, I can't recommend this highly enough. As Tyler clearly says, this is not self-working. It's not difficult, but you will need to practice the one move that is involved to get it down smoothly. So do not expect to watch the demo and then immediately go out and perform it. You will need to spend about a week practicing with this so you can do it justice in performance. It's worth the practice to have a very visual effect that leaves the spectators with a great visual and a magically altered object. This gets my highest recommendation. |

Just purchased this and watched the video. I really like it and think it will play well. Will start practicing this tomorrow. As soon as think it is ready will do a real world test at the local pub and post back here the results. Simple generic objects, nice!

Thanks for the review. Not for me in that case.

Would love to see some more reviews as I fear this is something for expert Arts/Craft people.
If there is no switch, don't people who receive post-it figure it out with a bit of inspection? (unless perfectly done I guess...) |

Arts and crafts are minimal and very easy. As for people figuring it out, not sure what you mean. They watch you draw something with a real sharpie and then move it several times. As I said, there is no switch of the note. They can even sign the note before anything happens. Nothing to find.

Anyone else pick this up and willing to render an opinion? (wondering how much practice "a week's worth" practice really involves.) Thanks.

I am having a problem with this effect. The second slide doesn't work for me 90% of the time. Without saying too much, things don't stay in place after the move. I am using Highland brand sticky notes because those are the ones recommended by Tyler. I am wondering if maybe Post-It brand might have a more lasting adhesive. Is anyone else having this problem, and how did you solve it? You can private message me.

I have dry skin and have problems with card slights like second dealing. I discovered that if I press the tip of my thumb nail on top edge of the dot and pull down it moves quite easily. The only draw back with this method is, I've to tilt the pad up out of the spectator view. Tricky Ricky |

I have the same problems with Highland brand. The first move is very hard. The second slides just right.... But the third sticks to my fingers.

I used the highland brand also with no problem. What helps me is pushing my first finger up underneath the pad as I slide the image with my thumb. He mentioned that briefly in the tutorial.

Sorry I wasn’t more clear I believe what put off Pegasus was emyers99 mentioning arts and crafts in the review.
