If you have been able to obtain some of the new "snow powder" and have a great routine to share... let me know. Spangler and I are compiling a book of routines for the wonderful stuff and would love to include your routine in exchange for a couple of the finished books and some snow powder. We are working on a short timeline... so send me your routine right away! Previously we collaborated on "Bouncing Back: A Treatise on the Bounce No-Bounce BAlls".
Send routines to Bob LaRue (Omnibozo) laruer@earthlink.net Thanks |

I look forward to your book, I simply use it to make snow in my hands. I'm sure there will be many more creative applications for it in your book.

With the first flecks of snow coming down here up north in Calgary, your book would be great. Can just imagine incorporating it on the ski hills. Can't wait! By the way, Ichazod mentioned in a thread on slush powder that AM/PM has an effect by Tom Cutts producing snow.
:righton:
thanks y'all

I have had a container of snow powder sitting in my magic case for about a year now. Recently I did a B-Day show for some close friends. They wanted the show to be themed around Harry Potter. I had my silk to cane as a first trick, but at the last minute the can snaped in half. I needed to come up with a quick opener. I saw that the cups that people were drinking out of were Harry Potter cups. I grabbed one and put some snow powder in it. I brought the b-day boy up and had him pour water into the cup and the snow came billowing out of the top of it. They loved it, even though they thought the snow was sugar. Just keep it in your case. You never know when you might come up with a last minute idea.

Is the snow edible? Or rather, is it non-toxic?

Bob,
Harry Allen of Daytona Magic has a nice routine on his new DVD, "Comedy bits and Magic Routines #1" called North to South. He has two styrofoam cups displayed and one is labled North and the other is labled South. (The North cup has snow powder in it and the South cup has slush powder in it. As the powder and the cups are all white, they look empty.) He picks up a glass of water and as he is pouring some into the South cup asks what happens when a cloud bursts over the hot South? The water evaporates of course! He then turns the cup over to show it is empty. Then he asks what happens when the cloud bursts over the North pole as he pours water into the North cup. It turns to snow of course! As the snow comes bubbling out, he takes his bow and applause. |

What is the chemical called used to make snow powder. That would be a big help in purchasing the materials. Thanks. Jobo the clown: Taiwan r8clownz2002@yahoo.com
