You want cheap, but also quality? Generally speaking, those are mutually exclusive.

Are you looking for hypnosis, or are you looking for tricks? Those terms are also more or less mutually exclusive in my opinion.

Can you be more specific on what you're after?

I appreciate the sentiment, but it takes moments to be ordained online. I originally did it to be able to do weddings for friends, then ran with it. I've since largely dropped emphasis on that as it no longer suits my focus.

Personally I've always preferred new books but to each their own.

This section is for entertainment hypnosis specifically. You'll probably have better luck asking in Penny for your Thoughts, Inner Thoughts, or maybe even Inside the Crypt or the Bizarre sections.

There's a seller on eBay that specializes in older magic and metalism booklets. They had a batch of "Hypno Tricks" booklets from the 40s I think - pretty cheap, around $10. Search for "Hypno Tricks" on there and you'll find tons of stuff.

In my experience, it's largely all the same. From the early 1900s until now, it's just different ways to use the same physiological phenomena with different scripting. Some more effective than others. The only departure from that formula I've seen is Aaron Alexander's "Pygmalion Effects" which does take the use of those phenomena to the "next level" as it were. However, that book is pretty difficult to find for sale and is not cheap when you do.
