Hi there little darlings fam. I have a new merch product kids coming out very soon. Every kid I've shown it to is immediately obsessed and wants one. Before I announce exaaaaactly what it is I'd like to take a poll.
How many of you do any of the below? Thanks for the feedback! - B.O.R sales, - Sell merch before or after your show - Or regularly do add-ons or goodie bags to your family gigs and birthday parties?

I do BOR sales & giveaways at select shows, but the items are customized / branded to me (my business identity). So, I don't sell generic items.

Great Question to clarify George. What do you mean by DL?
Could be a giveaway sure. I occasionally give an entire branded Magic Kit away if the situation is right but I'm really talking about if you FAIRLY regularly sell items to make extra income on top of your show fee. Or if on top of the fee for your birthday magic show, for a few dollars per kid you also offer the upgrade of each kid getting a magic trick to take home. Or if the client asks you to bring goodie bags for everyone. And when you're doing more of a stage show if you sell merchandise. Donald, do you cutomize them yourself or go through one of the third party providers as many of us do? Add on poll question! If you do sell stuff, WHICH item do you sell the most of?

I had a graphic designer customize my products for me, and then I had them printed.
Also, if someone didn't want to do it that way, this is another option. https://www.custommagickits.com/ - Donald

That's great Donald. Yep always put the name on it. And yeah Roman is a great dude.
So far the poll stands at 1. Donald. Thanks Donald. Neznarf are you #2? Who else out there sells merch. Chime in with a "ME"!

I have 3 to 4 magic items that I give out to my magic volunteers... Some I made myself and some customize, aside from the instructions, I've also included an instructional video in youtube, which can only be accessed using the qr code or link provided.

Sorry.
DL=Down Load I send B'day Client 50 page Book PDF via email on how to do the Perfect Children's Party And also send invitations PDF via email. Sometimes when I get an email inquiry I just send them the 50 Page Children's Party Book and that helps them want to book me. Rut Roe: Now the secret is out.

Why don't you quit playing games and just get to the point of what you have to offer?

My #1 popular item, in regards to BOR sales, is a magic wand with a trick instruction card. It's not a gimmicked wand such as a rising wand (some performers / magic dealers sell those BOR).
Then next most popular is my magic kit and my magic grab bag, both which contain the wand, magic trick(s), activity book, and possibly other items. My least popular item is my magic activity book (and it's quite a good book). I include it as a part of my magic kit and my magic grab bag, but when I sell it by itself, the wand easily outsells it. Example - at some shows, I'll might sell 75 wands ($5 each), 20 magic kits ($20 each), 30 grab bags ($10 each), and 2 books ($5 each). I think the reason is the "toy factor". It's something physical that the kids can play with. Not just a printed item, like the postcards I give away or the activity books that I sell. - Donald P.S. I haven't ventured into DVD sales yet, because I don't like the idea of an Instant Author DVD ("magic hands" style). If I was to make a DVD, I'd likely create it from scratch, so it would be personalized showing me.
