I wonder if you can signpost me? ...

I'm interested in learning about handwriting analysis for readings and magical endeavours.

Printed books if possible. And definitely books you reference and use.

Curious to know your recommendations. Smile

Thank you.

See if you can track down an old copy of the Eight Basic Steps to Graphoanalysis.

Mentalists:
This will get you up to speed very quick for quick analysis:
https://www.coldreading.co/shop/graphology-book-ebook-pdf/

ANYTHING by Ron Martin is 100% great:
http://www.mevproshop.com/graphologists-notebook.html

From a non-mentalist perspective:
https://www.amazon.com/Handwriting-Analy......01OOBAFK
and Bart Bagget's stuff:
https://www.handwritinguniversity.com/order/catalog.html
(don't focus on the courses (unless you get into it ...I took his first course, I liked it) but his deck and his "secrets to making love happen" are both very good).

Those last two focus on grapho-analysis as opposed to graphology. This is more concerned with individual strokes and traits than overall gestalts which (...seems to me to be) easier to apply quickly.

Also, I don't have this, but Richard Webster highly recommends it, which guarantees that it is worthwhile

Oops, just read the OP. The first two of the above recommendations are ebooks (although, I just print mine out).
The bottom three are print books.

There is also an EXCELLENT DVD by Rudy Hunter called "Draw me a Tree" which covers Handwriting Analysis for a signature and the analysis of a doodle of tree.

Depending upon your age, you may be in trouble doing handwriting analysis since most of the younger generation cannot write or read cursive. It would be interesting to hear how such a routine would work with printed words. Would it make a difference?

It would depend on your routine, both what is being written and how much you want to reveal, but you can get enough information from print. You still have:
Size, slant, pressure, placement and organziation (...more or less, depending on how and where they are writing) tell so much
the m, n, o, e, a and I give information about communication (probably no loops in the o though, that's too bad)
The T is enough to do an entire reading on often, and the h, d, l, etc. give some insight into philosophy and mental states
the lower "loops" (again, there probably won't be actual loops, so this does minimize it) give information about physical drives and energy
And, you can always have them draw a tree, or a pig, or a doodle, and you're garauteed to have enough for a whole brief reading.

You may want to investigate "Black Hart's Graphology Course", which can be found here: http://www.blackhart.co.uk/graphology.html

I have not gotten this, so I can't make any recommendation or not about this. I do know that Keith has produced solid items in his catalog and I have purchased them and have been wholly satisfied. Contact him and he may give you more information.

Regretably true, Slim King Smile

But it's not a problem for dong readings, as seadog93 pointed out.

By the way: analyzing printing (even block letters) and the Tree Test are also covered in Reading Writing.

Thank you for the mention Seance.

Penduluminary, The Black Artefacts Graphology is a PRACTICAL, SIMPLE, real life system that is designed for corporate readings - it is designed to make you money. You get everything you need to go out and do handwriting readings. You can do short signature only readings or longer handwriting sample readings.

It isn't cheap. It is not for the 'curious'. It is for people who are serious about earning money doing graphology.

Hey Spookies--have you lost your minds? Smile Don't forget about GRAPHICK by séance worker and bizarrist par excellence Mark Edward! It is a quite thorough and reasonably priced book on the subject, for exactly the OP's situation. Don't know why he seems to no longer stock it on his website, but Stevens carries it:

My pleasure, Penduluminary!

I just noticed that your original post mentioned magical endeavours. The book Reading Writing, in addition to a complete treatise on readings (for fun and profit Smile ), also has a section on mentalism in which handwriting analysis is an intrinsic part of the experiment (either central or in addition to other psychological modalities), and a section on magic tricks in which handwriting plays a role. The former add a powerful additional presentational approach to the modern, 'psycho-babble' style of mentalism. The latter allow you to subtly advertize that you do readings without doing a sales pitch (they'll line up afterward without you having to do a thing Smile ).
