What are you'all using for a Impromptu Close Up Mat for coin work ?
(Hard table tops make noise and coins bounce all over the place.) A rubber close up mat with velvet on top . . . screams. . . "not impromptu", but rather. . . "a SHOW", a "Planned Performance." So, in the Impromptu Department of close up coin work we have: The Pool Table top (nice green felt) A newspaper folded to about 16 x 18 or a tabloid size all one piece. A large bandanna folded to 1/4 of it's size. What else is there ? |

If you NEED a table surface or a mat . . . sometimes you really NEED a surface (not a hand) that is at least
10 inches x 16 inches. Impromptu Table/Mat suggestions ? |

Dish drying mats work well, and can be as cheap as a dollar and available in a dollar store.

I discovered another one:
A LARGE hard back book. Maybe a coffee table type book, minus the glossy dust cover. A cloth covered LARGE hard back book. |

Computer mouse pad works. Also some restaurant place mats are good, as well as nice restaurant cloth napkins.
