Hello Tyler
Thanks for the review. I was hoping you would have some thoughts on the "improvements" Joshua has made. My problem I have with this is that you cannot disassemble it they way Joshua described and I haven't figured out a way to do it smoothly with the "improvement"

Received mine just before the holidays. Enjoyed playing with it. Re: Googling - that is not going to stop me from doing anything I perform. While some will do that I think the vast majority of spectators don't want to know how stuff is done.

The glass one - looks so much better

I would guess it would need a lot more work to achieve

But so much better than the Joshua Jay trick that has already been over exposed, and too many people have bought - so will likely have been seen before by some of the people you perform it for

Very cool video, but I would have liked to see the tops of the glasses.

I hardly think that all those who bought balance are in the same market.

When I first saw the promo video . . . I thought: "Where is the magic here ?"
I can balance any borrowed coin/ smooth edge or milled, on it's edge, within 4-5 seconds.
And with m____ts, I could balance everything in the room.
Pencils, pens, playing card boxes, shoe boxes, . . . everything.

I watched every video I could find on it. . . and am still wondering . . "Is this not obvious, what's going on here."
WHERE . . IS . . the MAGIC part of this.

Yes, yes, the gaffs are well hidden and the items well made.
And one gaff you are not suppose to see (closer than 2-3 feet).
(I have a flea circus so I know how to hide these types of gaffs. . .)

You bought it though didn't you Doctor.
But, if you have ANY kind of science or technical background, it's OBVIOUS what is happening here.
I don't get it.

Now, if people were allowed to hand me 12 items from around any room and say: "Balance them."
Then . . . THAT would be a MAGIC TRICK.

My 8 year old nephew saw it and immediately figured it out. Joshua did put a lot of work into it though.

Does anyone do this and disassemble it in front of the audience?

My feelings on dissassemling it is that it’s doable but not ideal. With a good bit of practice, I think you would be fine. Ideally, I would want to have it in a room and then the audience leave. Josh talks about having a sign saying Look But Don’t Touch, which would be quite nice for parlour or small stage setting. Not one for drunk crowds though, but it’s not that kind of piece anyway.
