This reminds me of an idea I flirted with a couple of years ago inspired by The Vault by David Penn i.e., object to nest of whatever. I was interested in having a signed coin appear in an key fob. Thinking about it, I realized why would you have an fob that could hold a coin? I suppose if I had the extra money I might spring for this but, only if I was booked with a decent amount of parlor shows. I think a more organic approach would have the ring appearing on the buckled watch strap inside the box.

The trick you linked to makes more sense. As for now, I really like Bonsall's routine. (for ring or coin) To be clear regarding Timeless, I have no doubt that it blows spectators away. |

However the Timeless has an abnormal looking back cover that will convince nobody. Given that, when the watch cover is removed, all eyes will be focused on the appearing object inside the watch and thus the spectator will ignores the type of back cover used is a possibility. I know that Joao Miranda is a Tech Savvy creator. Most of his creations are based on electronics (electro-mechanical). However IMO for loading an object along with its back cover into the watch, the Timeless did not warrant an electo-mechanical device, thus resulting in creating an expensive gizmo. This could have been very easily achieved (by using the exact same principle) just with a simple push of a finger during the course of performance while the object is being loaded inside the box. Thus making the whole effect (and the gizmo) much much cheaper and affordable. And no worries of failing electronics/jamming of mechanism/dead battery (at THAT precise moment). I am sure all those (including Joao) in the know of the working of the effect will agree with me on this. And thus would have made the gizmo a foolproof device. I won't go much into details for fear of exposure and will limit myself to these few words. I will not brand Timeless to be a stage, parlor or closeup effect. Rather IMO Timeless is purely a 1-on-1 effect but at the same time its a very versatile effect that can be played under varied performing conditions. Overall, for those who can afford the high retail price tag, this is good and well thought out versatile effect. Just my thoughts please.

By any chance the box could be examined by the audience after the whole effect?

Hence there is no reason for the spectator to go for the box as the whole effect is taking place with and within the watch. Just an OPINION - And at times opinions do matter.

Look at my post history apart from quite a bit on this topic and our new release coming out in a few days I am not very active on here now, I wonder why? Also comments on watches not unscrewing, most high end watched unscrew, I suspect because they are waterproof and it makes a better seal. If you don't want to unscrew you could snap it off if you wished, but unscrewing is perfectly logical.

Since this is electromechanical, I'd be surprised if it didn't make a bit of sound. In one of the videos, we can see a rather elaborate framework for the mechanics, but without many of the components, some of which I'm pretty sure will make some sort of sound.
I like the effect on whole, but it is way too expensive for me. |

If you think it is illogical, don't but it. If you think it is too expensive, don't buy it. If you think it looks fake, don't buy it. If you think it is too big to carry, don't buy it. If you think it is not for close up, don't buy it. If you think it is too small for stage, don't buy it. You can't justify the prop, don't buy it. I hope I've not missed anything out. How about just talking about how this can be used in peoples opinion and routine ideas.
