Everything screams "magic props". Magic trick box, magic giant trick watch etc. Personally I will stick with my ring flight in key chain.
I wish Miranda applied his creative/electronic skills to come up with more organic close-up effects. |

Its a great looking effect but very expensive, when I combine that with how much pocket space it takes up I think I'm going to stick to my destination type box routine.

I have watched the tutorial last night, it is very smart and it is very very cool, but what you can do with are limited. If you have spare money, go for it, if not Brass Nest Of Boxes I think is good enough.

I imagine that if we haven't received e-mails every two days from Murphy's stating that this would be the most amazing thing that we would see in our lifetime, people who are currently sort of disappointed with the trick would be more excited about it. And this is not the trick fault, neither Joao Miranda's fault nor the price tag fault. Maybe just the marketing strategy's fault. But, anyway, what do I know?

^ You may be right. Considering the hype and build up, I thought it would be some sort of a technological, yet practical, utility device of sorts. So yeah, a major let down.
@ Magicmike. With regards to your "If everyone thought like you we would not have electric cars." comment to Rebecca, that's an unfair statement. I think many, like me, were very excited for something truly innovative and "James Bond" like to plunk our money down on. Rings can, and have, appeared in many places, By no means should creators stop thinking of methods and places to put a ring. As Joe Roberts so eloquently said on page 2, however, "inside a watch is not one of them" |

Let us remember that opinions are not facts, as much as some might like to believe they are. And opinions on this will vary a great deal. If you like it and it works for you in your presentation, have at it. It not, then don't get it. Some pretty big names, those that actually do shows are using it and some big names who do shows are not. As for armchair magicians, their opinions can be helpful, but without real world experience, their weight is very much diminished.

Great electronic marvel. But there are a couple of issues that I have and that have already been mentioned. This screams gimmicked watch. Who has a watch these days except for boomers? It would have been more current if ring would appear in and Iphone or Android that actually looks like the real thing. Must have been fun to design though.

Everyone is thinking like a magician.
You have to put yourself in the specs position. I thought ‘ as a laymen’ WT actual F? I would be wasting good money buying this, however, for the professional’s amongst us I would definitely use this. |

The ring used in teh demo is a very thin and small woman's wedding band. Is this the type of ring taht must be used? CAn a typical man's wedding band be used?

Why on earth are people comparing this to ring flight? Ring flight is walk around. This is a showpiece.
And to those who slate the 'logic' of the trick. Where's the logic in most tricks? |

I heard Joao was working on an effect similar to the Turner Watch... now this comes out and the fact that the object appears in the watch is apparently unjustified. Can it be that for some reason he took away a part of the effect which involved a time prediction? this could explain the watch...

Or if you don't want to do a standard ring flight, this makes a lot more sense to me and is definitely MUCH cheaper.

I'm in agreement with others, this seems like a very magical effect except that the impossible place just doesn't make sense. No "ordinary" wristwatch is going to have a large cavern nor a the ability to easily unscrew the back (without jeweler's tools).
I'm a huge fan of the objects vanishing to be found in an impossible place effect. I own several such props (too many, really). But, to me, a nest of boxes makes more sense than the inside of a wristwatch. Mark

Maybe some tongue-in-cheek "Back to the Future-ish"/ Einstein patter about about The Space Time Continuum could work here. Also an interesting exercise could be to honestly ask yourself if whether or not you'd give this a shot, if the price was like $129?
