Would you buy it?

https://www.shinlimmagic.com/shop/kadabra-by-raffi-kazama

Description:

“Welcome to KADABRA! By Raffi Kazama. Each piece is handcrafted to extreme precision. It takes Raffi about 2-3 days just to make one Kadabra gimmick, so this is in extremely limited quantity! This is an effect I performed on AGT, and in my opinion, the reason why I won. I think this is the best version of the distortion effect in all of playing card history! Get ready to hold a true miracle at your fingertips.” ~ Shin Lim

Looks great. Bit of a one trick pony I guess. I would hate to have Shin Lim's hairstyle - would really annoy me.

I notice you never see the backs of the cards. I'm imagining all kinds of cogs and levers and pulleys and machinery.

Indeed. I bet the card is an inch thick. Great for TV Shows with modern editing technology.

I find it hard to believe it "sold out" - How could it sell out before anyone even knew it was for sale? And how many people have $160 to spend on a gaff card. I guess its possible, but I'm skeptical

Well it does take approximately 6 years to make each gaff.

But with practice you can get it down to under 5.

This is not a new idea. I remember in the late 80’s a gaff card with moving pips... sold for about $25.

yes, that's pretty much identical - the only difference I can spot is the card number rotates and changes before the pips move. Having the number pivot like this suggests they both use the same mechanism

I remember a few months back there was a fellow who was offering his moving pip card (I think it was only one moving pip)- looked very nice. I believe it was in the Gaffed and Funky forum. He even made a video of how resilient the card was by throwing it against a wall and running over it with his car.

Yes I remember that. Again it was too expensive so didn’t order.

How do you know? Unless you own one whether it's WORTH it or not.
