Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the funeral house.
Not a single creature was stirring,
Neither cadaver nor mouse.

The trocars were hung,
by the chimney with care.
In hopes Santa Reaper,
Would soon be there.

With ma in her casket,
And me in the crypt.
Washing my hands,
From the last skin slip.

When out in the Cemetery,
I heard such a clatter.
I stopped the embalming,
To see what was the matter.

The sleigh was decked in black,
The rain deer were all dead.
I stood paralyzed for the moment,
And nothing was said.

It was the Grim Santa Reaper,
All decked out black and red.
Delivering Christmas gifts,
To all who were dead.

When he saw me looking,
He twinkled his nose.
And all of a sudden,
From the cemetery he rose.

I heard him exclaim,
As he rose out of sight.
I’ll be back for the rest of you,
On the next Christmas night!
