Ladies/Gentlemen...I have been practicing far about two years now. In the beginning I purchased the S&C set from Denny Haney in Baltimore. Denny showed me a couple of performances with the set and off I went to dazzle friends and family. For some reason my interest turned to cards and I dropped all ambitions of being the next great coin magician.
Today I find myself playing with coins again. Well we all respond to certain teaching styles and I find myself responding very well to Eric Jones. I am thinking about purchasing Metal “High-Impact Coin Magic” so I can learn the basics and build upon that. I would love to have the input from other magicians “if I can call myself one” on my train of thought P.S. My new found interest in coins cen be attributed to Eric Jones “Metal 4” and the OFX set. I’m a sucker for well made high end precision tools such as the Set Jammie Schoolcraft offers. I would love to hear thoughts on that also. |

@ MGordonB, have you watched Michael Ammar’s instructional videos before? If you have, is he easy to follow?

Mickey Silver can really handle coins. That looks like a ballet with his hands.

A ballet with the hands, how well said. That pretty well sums up coin magic. Even if you know exactly what's being done, you admire the way it's done. The more you watch, the more entertaining it gets. If you like Eric Jones, you have to get his, An Extension of me DVD set.

He presents everything he does in a very clear and concise manner, and often provides additional insights on why a particular trick/effect works and how best to present it. For me personally, his videos were like a light bulb going off. I had been struggling with improving my card tricks, I got vol 1,2 and 3 of his card miracles DVDs and boom, I ‘got it’. Good luck. |

The one I bought is copy protected so that you may not be able to convert it for phone or tablet use, but mine works on the computer.

Roy Kueppers also makes excellent gaff coins.

Most of us think we are better than we actually are. I have purchased Eric Jones “Metal “ down load and hunkered in for what appears to be a long road of building muscle dexterity and eating humble pie. There is actually a lot of mind blowing material that dose not require gaff coins. I guess in about a year I might have some new skills.

Sorry todsky, I wasn’t trying to exclude. I just happen to be researching Schoolcraft and Lassen.
