Looks like a series, entitled Houdini's Last Secrets, will be on the Science channel. This episode will be about the torture escape. Airs on Sunday night at 10:00PM EST and again at 1:00 AM.

Houdini really only had ONE secret he didn't divulge, and that was his secret of escaping from a prison cell. There was a good reason why he kept this one to himself.
Pretty much everything else has been written up. Riley ![]() |

I watched the 4 episodes here in the states and quite frankly thought they were all kind of lame. More of a promotion of the special effects builders and the one escape artist.

I think the important thing regarding the series was that it set out to make sure that it didn't include any exposure, the idea behind the show was to see if Science could be used to uncover the methods. To an extent they did that and only slightly touched on methods that are pretty much in every Houdini text out there, so overall I think the show was good. I don’t think anyone ever wanted this show to go in real deep and start exposing the true methods, the target audience is laypeople and I think it covered that well. For the more tuned in Houdini fanatics then yes, some things were inaccurate, a lot of assumptions were made but it was great to see George and Lee travel around the world visiting houses, museums that hold some of the true secrets. I for one enjoyed the show and hope we see a second series. It is certainly better than some of the other stuff we have to put up with on TV in the UK
