I would like to find resources on blindfold work and get opinions for the best blindfolds on the market. The floor is now open for discussion.

I use the Elder Blindfold...normal looking, examinable and practical. Also straight ahead vision.

For the older blindfolds, could you please include somewhere or someone who produces them if applicable. I am considering adding a blindfold to my show and would like to research the principle and available products. Thanks guys.

I kinda like the hood of death -- and carry mine into the audience (in right circumstances -- like Death Trap) for the audience to verify it is opaque.

Kuffs Blindfoil has worked well for me.
It is available on his DVD. Glenn |

Blindfoil is great, I use it with first duct taping coins over my eyes in an x patern, then following up with blindfoil. If you download my blindfold driving video from my website, you'll see me using this method for a quick drive in my friends car.

Samuel,
Osterlind’s Stainless Steel blindfold is great ad 100% examinable. The booklet that comes with the blindfold worth the price. Kuffs method is really, really good. Can be done totally impromptu and gives you 100% vision, but under certain condicions some people could “replicate” it. Corinda has a nice blindfold method using pads of newspaper and hankerchiefs. It will be useful for you to check: “Sealed Vision” by Will Dexter, and “Psychic Sight” by Jack Dean. These two books will give you a comprehensive vision on different methods. |

Also: Intuitional Sight by Eddie Joseph, as well as the appropriate chapters in Annemann's Practical Mental Effects and Tarbell.

I made a nice black velvet blindfold from the instructions in Corinda. There is a velcro strap to let me put it on and take it off without taking off my hat. You can try it on a member of the audience, they can't see anything.
Putting a steel blindfold over this is wild overkill, but sometimes that is called for. Here is a picture in action: http://www.memoryelixir.com/photogallery/picture_3.html Yours, Paul |

Kuffs, impromtu and I didn't get it to work at first so it is not spectator friendly.

First of all I love doing a blindfold routiens I cant get enough of them. I have Osterlinds steel blindfold which is great, but I use just a simple black cloth with coins and tape underneith more than anything. 13 Steps has more than enough info for almost any kind of blindfold you will use.

I use fifteen feet of ace bandage. And let the spectator do the binding as they please. Verry effective and common I guess.

I have to agree with Neil. Check out the chapter on blindfolds in Tarbell 6 (?). It has a ton of great info on how to make blindfolds of many types.

Most of the things I would steer you to have been mentioned: Tarbell, 13 Steps and Stainless Steel from Osterlind.
Myself, I go for coins, lots of duct tape and two masks.... the more the merrier for me. Greg
