I always carry my walk around bag. It's a tote that has my cell phone & pocket pc. The rest of the space is devoted to coins, a deck or two, gaffs, silks, etc.
On those very off days when the bag is not with me, I always keep 2 half dollars and either a ^coin or a C/S. With those three items I'm good for at least 5 or 6 effects. Best, Mike |

I have recently started carrying rubberbands on my wrist (having learned CMH finally and some linking ring on band moves).
I always have a papermate or bic round stic pen on me for re-capped, what a wonderful little routine. Thanks again to Gregory Wilson for that one. I got dice on me most of the time too, although how impromptu that is remains a good question but folks that request a trick usually are not hanging around debating within themselves if what you are about to do is impromptu or not. As long as the magic is done well! I usually have a TT ready for bill switch and 5 bills set for bendover bills. Always got to be a little prepared! GlenD

A deck of bikes and an invisible deck (just in case I mess something up) or as a big ending to a couple of tricks.

A coin.
The rest is either watch stealing, or pickpocket lite now. |

As a newbie, I have the following items with me :
- A TT - Rubber bands for CMH and for ring thru band (Pinnacle) - one or two decks (one non-gimmicked, and either Cardtoon for the fun of it or an invisible deck) - And safety pins. Dreamweaver and Pindemonium are great effects, and pins are very easy to carry around. Mathias (from Switzerland)

A bicycle deck with a three extra cards... a double, and then two prepared to do a card ward (aka, voodoo zone)
An invisible deck if I'm not wearing wranglers (back pockets are too tight) Four quarters for some basic sleights and coin matrix... I used to be prepared at all times with some IT, but I have run out and yet to restock... If I'm going to a resturant, I grab a prepared sugar pack for a coin into sugar pack, and I need to get some salt shakers for a salt/coffee creamer switch... Always ready for a balducci, and in the winter a twisted arm...

I nearly always carry a pen (for Wilson's ReCap), a regular deck of cards, and at least one half dollar. If there's a more than likely chance I'll be doing something, I'll bring a packet trick or two, along with some more coins.

Everyone carries their wallet most of the time you go anywhere. So there'll always be StarGazer, a small piece of flash paper (sealed in a small zip-lock bag), a mismade dollar bill (HK $20), and a prediction card. Most other everyday items you really don't need to particularly carry as common objects like pens, coins, are easy to obtain. I never leave home without my StarGazer.
If you cannot win, make the one ahead of you break the record.

A deck of cards and two dice. Got to love that dice routine, thanks Bob Sheets.
Best, Brad

I usually don't have anything but a ring on my finger. If someone asks I'll take it off say, "Hold this and I'll do one." When I go to put it in their hand it's gone and I quickly blow it out my nose. Old fashioned? Yes. Cheesy? Yes. Reactions? Very often. Get's the job done? Yep.
If there's a tree or bush around I'll do a spongeballs routine with leaves. If someone has lipstick or coins or a pen I'm REALLY set. So usually I don't carry around props, I usually just borrow stuff.
So I was sittin naked in a beanbag chair the other day eatin cheetos...

I do Color Monte, rubberbands, sponge balls or Stolen Cards. RECAP is also a good very quick, none require and extensive setup. If not prepared at all then a coin flurry, with coin ending up on spectator's shoulder.
