I carry a TT, a shoelace for finger ring on string, Extreme Burn, 4 half dollars and just recently Holey Molely using poker chips.

Always have coins (in my pocket), cards (in my backpack). And of course, my PK ring! Business cards -- lots of neat stuff there.

I always have a deck with me. Usually it'll carry a double backer and a few dupes. Also, I carry my halves on me all the time.

Usualy, when someone asks me to do some magic I don't start doing card tricks.... normaly I carry one loop on my wrist, I ask for a bill or a pen and make it float or move.

That's a goooood start, once a good magic athmosphere is created it's time do some card magic.

Spider pen it's a good prop also, very powerful magic.

Cheers

Departure and freakey are on my keys ready to go!! Loops are always a lifesaver. Rubberbands on my wrist are nice too. I can do whole sets just on rubberbands. This is without cards by the way. Smile

Poker chips? That's a great idea! I don't know if I am skill to drill a hole onto the chip.

I actually carry ESP cards in my wallet. It's great because they are marked and I can also perform some other routines with them including esperfect

Hello All!
Since I always carry a biz card in my wallet, I'm ready to do a quick prediction using Scott F. Guinn's "Assertive Positive Negative"!
It never fails to impress!

Plus they walk away with your biz card..... Smile

I mostly do some finger magic first which always gets some laughs, then I continue with borrowed coins.

I always carry some coins, a watch, a pen and a small notepad with me. These are items that I need anyway. Because I'm doing mostly mentalism, I don't need more.

If I know I will be asked, I put some more items in my pockets.

Never leave the house without my TT, Card to wallet (I don't bring cards but have had them handed to me many times), Time Machine, and some rubber bands. I borrow the coins. Can perform just one trick or a whole act and really only have to store TT and bands the others I need anyway!

Rubber band effects are definitely great for those spur of the moment happenings. Noting like pulling out Crazy Mans Handcuffs at the last second and then frying your spectators with it.

As a newbie, I have the following items with me :

- A TT
- Rubber bands for CMH and for ring thru band (Pinnacle)
- one or two decks (one non-gimmicked, and either Cardtoon for the fun of it or an invisible deck)
- And safety pins. Dreamweaver and Pindemonium are great effects, and pins are very easy to carry around.

I never carry any magic props when I'm not performing, but if I do get a request to perform a trick, I will usually perform Yoshio Hirose's Rip It Revolutionized. It can be found in the Secret Sessions DVD put out by Bob Kohler and Daryl. It is an impromptu torn and restored dollar bill routine that is incredibly visual and requires no set up. If I have a dollar bill, I'm ready to go.

I took the habit of putting on a loop in the morning. That way, I just need to borrow a piece of paper, a pen or any small object.
I also took an afternoon one day to list a dozen no-equipment tricks I like (mental tricks, arm twisting, etc.) and think of good presentations and segways to connect them. So I know that, even half-naked in a pool, I have a routine of about 45 minutes ready.

cheers
