.50 cents? Trying to mold a realistic looking rabbit that looks like it was formed from a sugar packet is worth the $20.00 bucks to have shipped to me already made. With a couple of routine ideas.
I ordered the day I got the email.

And let's not forget about giving the creator compensation for their idea and work on an effect...

NORTH AMERICAN
the money received by an employee from an employer as a salary or wages. plural noun: compensations Also: Compensation is the total cash and non-cash payments that you give to an employee in exchange for the work they do for your business. It is typically one of the biggest expenses for businesses with employees. Compensation is more than an employee’s regular paid wages. It also includes many other types of wages and benefits. |

You're not an employer, you're a customer. The creator of a trick is not my employee.

... the point is supporting creators of effects. Yes we see the idea we didn't come up with and go " I can make it" but is that ethical and fair? That's my point. If I did this effect I would do it differently, but I would purchase it, then customize it to suit.

It's one thing to make a set of cups and balls or assemble a set of silks for 20th Century, but to make a copy of Chuck Leach's Raven or Steve Fearson's little rabbit just because "you CAN"...pretty lame. I mean, you could turn brass Okito Boxes all day long if you had a UniMat lathe. No one would say anything. Probably BUY a few from ya! No one has a problem with making your own stuff, provided it's not a commercially made item. Myself, I'd make a mold of the little rabbit made of silicone. Pack wet sugar in it and let it dry. Crude, but you could switch it out and immediately drop it in your coffee. BUT...I'd BUY it first! Doug |

It looks very cool, like a sugar bunny should look, so I took the plunge, ordered and we'll see how this really is.

Anyone receive this yet? The "anticipated" ship date was stated as Feb 4. I'm guessing that they missed that!
