You discover a puzzling curiosity in a leather pouch.

Can JENZO really predict any card and any number?

Slide the four strangely etched JENZO slabs out of their pocket-size leather pouch.

Examine everything closely. What can these random mysterious markings possibly mean?

But then...

As you arrange and re-arrange the four etched squares... the puzzling curiosity reveals itself to be a diabolical divination! JENZO can make remarkable predictions in mysterious and tantalizing ways!

Watch JENZO rearrange your brain here!

The add copy asks the question. Can Jenzo really predict any card or number.? But the video does not answer that. Yes it is multiple outs but an entire deck?? Be curious if any one can shed light on the actual combinations for the number/card reveals? Be interesting. The math would suggest a lot given 4 corners on 4 squares x both sides etc.

While I don't see (yet) how this is used for predictions in a convincing manner, I do have to say that I have several items from Jenzo Harmonics, and Simon creates some incredible and enchanting pieces. When looking at this, I view it more as a way of doing interesting card readings, without cards (spec mixes them and performer pushes them together to create a card on which reading is based). Either way, it is super attractive looking. I'm sure it will be a winner!

Another useless trailer that shows you "Sod All" in terms of performance - Look 4 tiles that turn to give you different reveals !

Im very interested in the item but what does it really do?

I'm with Seth. More interested on how to use it differently than as advertised.

I am curious as to how many different outcomes this could predict. I'd be amazed if it could predict the whole deck. It seems that it might be able to predict several cards... Perhaps maybe all the court cards/popular number cards and can be used as a partial prediction for other selections?

A little more explanation on how many outcomes this is capable of would be great.

I like the concept, something small and portable that can reveal a number of different outcomes. Although, I fear that many spectators might view it more like a puzzle. Seeing all the lines, they may realize what's really going on... Maybe not.

There are a lot of outcomes, but not the entire deck.
Too, this is also now available in white: https://www.murphysmagic.com/product.aspx?id=64018

Im interested in seeing more of their items. So, I googled. This effect is a re-release from 2016 named "whispering tiles".

From watching the video ad, it looks like he [subtly] answers the marketing question by showing you everything it can make: all four suit signs, J, Q, K, 10H, 3 1/2, and 1998. There may be more to it that that, but it appears to be what is possible. Interested to hear from anyone who owns this what the actual possibilities are.

Watching the video, it seems that it is more likely used to reveal certain outcomes that are forced. Not any card in the deck, which could be a free choice. There are so many ways to do a reveal, especially a forced one, but this is pretty cool looking!

If it could reveal every card in the deck it would say that very boldly in the ad and trailer and then repeat it several times.

I like the effect and design. To make the final revelation more magical and avoid the impression of only puzzling in the end you possibly can use a big l**p to move the four elements to the end position. So they see an unenspected animation and THEN realize the revelation. I hope the elements are thick enough to give a short guidance for the l**p. Controlling two sides of a square may help.

From the description in the Martins’s Magic Collection link from magicmind, posted above:

“The effect involves a final reveal of a particular (forced) card. The routine includes an engaging story with the tiles showing several symbols and images before revealing a spectator’s card.”

Just for fun, I thought a bit about how many ways four double-sided tiles could fit together to form a different central picture of some kind (and by "central picture" I mean the design formed by the four interior corners of the tiles). If you assume that each corner of each tile is different, and that no corner on any tile is exactly the same as any corner on any other tile (these are strong assumptions), then the total number of possible "central pictures" is 24,576 (which is 6*8^4, for those interested!).

I should reiterate here that this number doesn't necessarily apply to the Jenzo tiles for a couple of reasons: (i) I don't know if these four tiles satisfy the strong assumptions that I made (I don't own a set), and (ii) the total I gave is simply for different central pictures, counting the many that would not be meaningful images.

Anyway, I had fun thinking about it!

I wish I understood it better. Is it easy to get to your revelation or will you be flipping tiles around till you see what you need?
Or do you get them to what you need first then ask the spec what card number and then bring them together?
Anyone have these?

I’m sure it isn’t just random flipping of tiles. I would kind of assume that it is a prescribed series of specific moves that allow you to tell the story, and then a final move to show the prediction, and when the forced card is then revealed, it is shown to be a match.

I see the set of tiles as a means to being creative by using them in a variety of ways. With these tiles for example, you can create and tell a story around a selected playing card. Bit by bit, arrangement by arrangement, the spectator sees a visual story take place.

It’s not the usual magic trick you buy and learn to perform. It’s a clever set of doodles (artwork) which is used as a puzzle/magic prop and come together to entertain your audience in a variety of ways which you create through some creative thought.

Perhaps what is confusing to some is the uniqueness of this release. The demo gets you headed in the right direction by providing you with the basic foundation (purpose). Then, how you develop the use of the tiles is up to you.
