The worst thing you can do is try to fall in line, in any sort of performance art. Check out other hypnotists to see that you ARE NOT doing what they are doing. Let that be it. Find what works for you. If you are the all-powerful hypnotist, commit to it. If you are the comedy guy, commit to it. If you are the guide that lets the people take themselves into hypnosis, commit to it.
The best thing you will want to do is stand out. Sure, you can go down a list and check and BE LIKE every other hypnotist. But why do that? Where is the fun in trying to fit into some box that other performers want to put you in? Alternatives: 1. Let's work together and let's see what happens. This type of hypnotist openly admits and gives the power the participant. What this does is kind of trick them into being more suggestible. 2. Trigger Words type hypnotist. This hypnotist gives commands to the participant and they will do a certain action or say a certain thing when they hear this word. This is useful. This hypnotist also lectures in the form of a performance. This hypnotist places all the pressure on the participant to make things happen. That's just a few. Find out which one you will want to be. And go for it.
