Has anyone here done a Prof's Nightmare with four ropes? Just thinking about figuring that out how it would work best, but if anyone has a source to study that'd be helpful.

Before there was a "Professor's Nightmare" or "Equally Unequal Ropes" by Bob Carver circa 1956, Professor Ted Collins was showing me how to perform his 1948 "4 to 1 Rope Miracle" in which four short separate pieces of rope are transformed into one long rope; the perfect beginning for his c.1940 "Panama Rope Trick" in which one long rope is cut into four short pieces, tied end to end, and then restored back into one long rope, complete with pop-away knots. You'll find the details in Mini-Mysteries Book 1 at The Magic Nook: https://www.magicnook.com/MiniMysteries/MM-08PanamaRope.htm
