I disagree. There is a reason why some vegans choose a vegan "burger" over a plate of raw carrots. The reason is, they love burgers but have now chosen not to eat meat. But they still want a burger. So they make a McVegan burger. They press veggies into a patty and garnish it and eat it like a burger.
Same goes for veggie dogs, veggie bacon, veggie sausage. |

I believer JoeJoe stated it was a weaning tool ( or something to that sort ) for those who are making the transition to a no meat diet.
Familiarity makes any transition easier. Reminds me of years ago when someone was feeling health conscious while in line at McDonald's would order a Filet O Fish; being that fish is healthy eating....
I still recall the day I met Beaker from the Muppets. He said to me "Meep, meep, mee mee mee Meep!", and that has made all the difference.
