Greetings to all from BC Canada.
My name is Norm and I am a retired close up enthusiast who has spent a ton of money in the past buying everything I could to further my hobby.

I am now in the process of sorting all this stuff out probably in the preparation of selling it all off?

I came across a padlock routine with no instructions?? Called Paramount lock routine.

All I have on it is a single piece of paper, with the usual patter of getting spectators to try to open it.

There are no instructions but here is what it is:

It's a heavy padlock with 6 keys. 2 keys will open it but the keys are NOT cut identical? The other 4 keys do not open it?

I have not been able to work out if the lock itself is gimmicked or what the routine is??

By the way, I also have Keyrrect which is a great piece of equipment.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Norm,

I created that effect / routine quite a number of years ago. I am in BC as well. I sold a few directly to a few other magicians as well as a magician supply place that promised to run with it but didn't. You have either the first or second generation of the trick. I have revamped the "mechanics" of the effect a bit to add an additional layer should allow for further handling / scrutiny of all the keys tried in the lock by the spectator (if you presentation needs it). As soon as this part of it is completely tested, I will be submitting the effect to another supplier for full distribution sometime in October 2019. In the meantime, I would be more than assist you any way I can. I used different brands of padlocks for the first and second generations. If you could let me know the brand on your padlock, we can start there. I can also send you a copy of the instructions if that is all you need.
