After reading some other information here, I’m starting to like the idea more and more. If this can do what Photo prediction and TAP can, I may save myself from purchasing TAP and wait for this to come out. Unless PP’s update happens before. Honestly, I’ve had some pretty harsh criticism for Gui in the past, ( which I apologized for ) but his products are worth every penny and will deliver a powerful punch to your audience. So I guess I’m stuck right in the middle of Console and TAP. I hate the wait game as much as the next person. But strategy is a part of the sales game. And this seems to be working as planned from what I’m reading.

This is a teaser. Only meant to wet the appetite of people during the pre-order phase. As a lover of magic, I and the team personally miss the old days. Where you had to go off the description in magic catalogs alone, or the hearsay from a brick 'n' mortar Magic Shop owner. We miss that excitement. May I kindly point out that your statement completely contradicts the raison-d'etre of this section of the forum? This section thrives because we were sick of buying stuff off descriptions in magic catalogs, only to be dissappointed mostly when it would arrive and the description would technically be correct but the trick would turn out to be very meh. I DIDN'T't get excited by a bombastic, pseudo-dramatic vid with no actual content that ends with a guy on his back in a parking lot. (People who get excited by guys on their back in parking lots have other forums btw). PS For an example of the kind of advertisement people here DO like: take a look at Jason Knowles' latest vid for Flat Pack. That gets people excited. No guys in parking lots. Just good magic.

He shows you exactly what you’re getting while also providing multiple views of what you’re getting. By far one of the best authentic advertised effects I’ve seen. While I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on effects that disappointed me. ( the M-5 veal years back 🤦♂️ )I can imagine how disappointed I’d be if I spent 150 $ on something I’ll never use. Sometimes it takes the words of others to point out certain things we might not see ourselves. |

Crap trailer, limited supply, vague details, pre-order = Alarm Bells Ringing.

They clearly intend to sell many more than 250 of them, otherwise they wouldn't be in a position to justify a full time app developer for a week. Also, I'd be stunned if the hardware is different between iOS and Android. |

Will has been on staff for about 3 years, so his job isn't directly tied to the success or longevity of this product though. For iPhone users, we'll be sticking up a pre-pre order once the initial units ship on Wednesday. We're already working with the manufacturers on more hardware. But the app IS open for anyone to download for $50 (Console buyers get it FREE) The reason for the pre-order (we've had the stock for weeks) was app store approval (which we have) ... it took an extra bit to get through Apple as we're officially working with Polaroid to use parts of their code for optional printing. The person that approved the test flight version left their job in the time it took to get the final units manufactured ..... As you can imagine with a company their size it was many levels of red tape to cut through before we got to the (new) right person. Looping these people in takes time in a corporate environment, but that's all perfect now. That is probably TOO much information and many of you won't care, but I think for the sake of transparency it gives a lot more confidence in the product - knowing that we're not smoke-screening people with a pre-order because the product is underwhelming, but it was to help us build hype. The app will go live in the app & play store on Tuesday with plenty of time for Console buyers to download it when they get their device (arriving from Thursday onwards depending on where you live in the world - we ship from California). All in all this is exciting for us and it's showed us (before we invested in thousands of units) that although the phone market is more android, the magic app buying market is overwhelmingly iPhone. - G |

This release is bringing up more questions than answers that’s for sure.

This is equally true in the non-magic world as well. You can generate a lot of revenue on Android, but only with free to play mechanics. While there are many many more Android phones out there than iPhones, there's a lot less will to buy apps up front. |

Messaged Ellusionist, Geraint, and Adam Wilber a few questions about the product. None of them bothered to get back to me. As a purchaser, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

All answered, through Instagram which Adam and Ellusionist seem active through. But all is answered now and I’m more than thrilled to receive it .

I’m going to do something absolutely crazy and wait to form my opinion until I receive it.

I don't want to cause panic or put pressure on you, but please realize: if everybody would only write stuff when they have a valuable opinion at least 99% of the content of this forum would disappear...
