I agree that "RUBREAK is comedy gold!"
https://www.murphysmagic.com/product.aspx?id=64024 Description: A perfect comedy piece for anyone using a Rubik's Cube in their act. RUBREAK can be used before, during, or after a Rubik's routine to create a very funny and awkward moment. Imagine, you have just completed your favorite Rubik's effect and you ask an audience member to help you out by holding the cube for a moment while you grab a deck of cards (or any other item). Just as you turn your back, the cube falls in a million (well, not actually a million but it will seem that way) pieces. Imagine your audience's reaction as you slowly turn around to find out what all the commotion is about! RUBREAK is comedy gold! |

Not sure if it's comedy gold but could possibly be a nice lead-in to Kev G's Recubed.

As usual, videoman and I are on the same wavelength. Exactly my thought. A tad pricey though

I noticed that Penguin has it listed for $50 if that helps make it more palatable.

This may be a dumb question, but do you have to find all the pieces on the floor?

If you lose pieces can you replace with some from other regular cubes?
How difficult to reset? Seems like you would need to crawl around picking up scattered pieces. Not crazy about that. |

If this is purely mechanical, seems like it should be $25-30 at most.

Went ahead and ordered this from Penguin because if I don't like it or feel it's not worth it I can just send it right back so figured I didn't have much to lose.
I'll post back with my review next week. |

I doubt you would be crawling around on the floor. Lol. From the looks of this only a few pieces fall off. This would be really funny in the right hands. So I will be buying this.

Not going to bother with a long review, suffice to say that it is already on it's way back.
Pros: Very nicely packaged. You get 2 gimmicked cubes and 1 regular cube. Cons: It is probably going to come apart almost immediately when the spec starts mixing it. In the demos I think the "spectators" knew how to operate it and could keep it together for a short bit. You will definitely be crawling around picking up pieces. Best to be doing this at a table. You will almost certainly lose some pieces. I believe you can replace them but they will have to be from the same size/type cube and I'm not sure if it would be difficult to find the proper cube or not. Video is short, about 10 minutes with sub-titles and background music (a version of the theme from Stranger Things I think, so maybe it should be in the Pro column?) Doesn't give you a lot of info but to be fair I didn't watch the entire video. When I actually had this in my hand it didn't seem funny at all. It seemed like something I would never want to do. Pet Peeve: Why do magic manufacturers feel that passwords for silly magic tricks need to be as hard to hack as the NORAD defense system? This one didn't require a password but the website was alpha-numeric gobbledygook about 50 characters long, and get this...the last 4 characters are l432 written in microscopic narrow font. No that first character is not a 1 but a lowercase L. Sometimes I think they just purposely want to screw with you with these passwords. So I was ready to return this thing before I'd even opened it. So take my review with that in mind. |

Yikes. Sorry bro. Thanks for taking one for the team. Sounds waaay overpriced for a poorly made sight gag.
And I totally agree about passwords these days. Annoys the crap out of me on a regular basis! |

It must be utter garbage as even Titanus was unwilling to put his name to this one.
