I’m totally speculating but assume it’s a spellbound move and you are paying for how to make an envelope gimmick and the routine. I don’t really know this, I don’t own it and I don’t think there is a full performance. That said I think it is more clever than vanishing the coin itself and could see using the idea with my nest of wallets.

I typically don't complain about magic demos and ad copies because I just don't care but... the ad says the envelope is in "FULL VIEW" and in the demo he pulls the envelope out of his pocket after the initials are rubbed off the coin. That's either a typo, or pretty bold to say/do.

To me, seems underwhelming.

It also states that it's better to have the envelope on the table in full view at the start of the routine and that that is the preferred way to perform this thing. So the ad isn't wrong and does explain why in the demo video they are pulling it out of their pockets instead. |

Penguin's site formerly showed The Best. Review. Ever.
But it was since deleted. Did anyone cache or screenshot it before it was deleted? Something about how far magic has fallen that even a harmonica would be more entertaining. |

It was an unverified review saying, is this what magic has come to, pulling off a signature? How awful..basically.

If the reviewer thought the effect was pulling off the signature, sounds like he missed the point. The signature bit is just to create misdirection and set expectations low before the reveal.
One thing to know, that isn't immediately clear from the copy, is that right after you take off the signature you can still freely show that you have nothing else in your hands besides that one coin.

I think it is quite good. I would slightly change the handling. IT would work great wit hnest of wallets, too.

One slight, and a slit...err slightless move to reveal. Underwhelming. $25?? I have tried to like their items, cool guys, but not sure there stuff is for me.

You also are shipped a gimmick, which you may or may not have already. Perhaps an option for a download only may be preferable.

So this is exactly the same as a published effect by Chris Congreave, in his book “Congreave’s Curiosities”. It’s also in his Alakazam academy lecture, and from what I remember, his At the Table lecture too

I'll stick with Xpert by Neil Tobin. For me, it is much more useful.
There are other releases by The Other Brothers that are good, this one, just from viewing the trailer, is not for me. |
