As part of a routine I'm working on, I tear up a selected card, give a corner to the spectator to hold onto... then I need to somehow make the remaining pieces vanish...
Any ideas or suggestions? |

In answer to your question: Are you familiar with making a ring vanish with a handkerchief?

Easiest and excellent method would be a.....Th*mbtip.

Topit, burn them, thumb tip, or handkerchief vanish.

King size TT works great for a quartered playing card (unless you have large hands).
I use one for a presentation of torn and restored that uses ungimmicked cards in an impromptu setting. Regular TTs are a bit short and snug for a playing card. |

Vernet has a pull with plastic teeth that can grab on to the pieces from the corner. I've also used this pull to ditch a sharpie, in case your T/R involves a signature. Lynn

If you're sitting they can be lapped (as Slydini might have done).

A TOPIT IS NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE. A thumbtip would require a little jamming.
A Sanada gimmick. If you want one made for close up contact me. I am the only source for this. Not trying to sell this. But this would be the easiest and most natural for all conditions. |

Angel Case by Paul Harris is a nice option

I would use a TT and a prepared tissue ala Kyle Marlett’s method in his At The Table lecture. So they can feel the pieces before the vanish.

Magicfish, I meant that.
I am just trying to solve their problem. I don't like to use a lot of extra unnatural devices etc,..... if possible. So I just recommended something I came up with. Not because I came up with it. But it is the most natural and clean way for me to do it. That is how I would vanish the card pieces. No not jammin in a tt or using all these cloths. But this would work great with a see through silk. A close up Sanada. I am the only one who makes it. I would recommend a regular Sanada. But they suck for close up, to be honest. I don't even like them for walk around or parlor. Just go to the big bird (P) and look up Sanada. Yep it really looks like that, you can detect it on stage. The color is off and just doesn't "disappear" in close up. I have used this in professional walk around and shows. Nothing like it for things bigger than a small silk. |
