Yeah! The kid has it going on!
I don't play violin...only guitar and learning sax, but I can only imagine that takes some great chops!! He turns the thing into a MOOG synthesizer!

Hey Daffydoug(!),
GREAT! Thanks, I really appreciate this. I've read, in two Nicollò Paganini biographies, that he played, in early years, in Variety Theaters(!). Paganini. ,..doing 'imitations', on his violin. I often wondered,..'How?' 'What?..?' Now,..I have a better idea! Thanks, gallagher |

Yeah! I would have never thought it was possible.
There are a few you can do on guitar, and I've even heard some stuff done on harmonica, but I always thought a violin was a violin.

Gallagher is right! Paganini was known for sometimes insulting an audience he didn't like by performing barnyard sounds for the duration of his performance. Of course, being from the late 18th century, he wouldn't have performed motorcycle sounds or any of the iphone ringtones. I also play the guitar, Doug; but not like Jimi Hendrix who was capable of many new sounds we'd never heard before. Anyway, thanx for link which amazed me too. Lynn

Wonderful! Let's see where he continues and writes those sounds into compositions.
There's a work, "Carnival of the Animals", which took a different approach to depicting animals that might get updated
