Man, someone as prolific as Larry Becker? Really hard to pick faves. The man has released SOO much good material over the years.

I've been performing "Ultimate Flashback" for like 15 years and it's still part of every show I do, so I guess that's top of the list for me based on how much mileage I've got out of it.

I really like 'Reflecta-Thot'. Over time, I have tinkered with the handling so that it's more of a mind-reading effect (rather than a prediction effect), and so that it includes more members of the audience. But the core method is great, and comes across as completely impossible yet fair in the participant's and audience's mind.

Also - have to mention 'Sneak Thief'

Didn't he call his work 'Mental Magic'?

I have been considering Becker’s Chameleon Chest. Does it rank as one of his best?

The Chameleon Chest is definitely a nice piece. Up to you to come up with the effect.

Larry believed that since his mentalism used magic mechanics and execution it was mental magic, but also believed and understood the difference in "real mentalism." He also believed and understood that mentalism or mental magic should not be looked at, seen or executed as tricks, hence "effects" or demonstrations.

As a founding member of the PEA he clearly understood the differnces and created with these in mind.

I have reason to believe Larry will be attending the I.B.M. Convention this year (July 2019). This might be a wonderful opportunity for those who appreciate his contributions to the Art to chat with him and let him know...

I'm sure Larry is over the moon that you noticed he understood.
Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about.

Julian's take on this principle is very good, definitely a new twist worth checking out.
