Heya folks - we have a brand new project with the awesome Cameron Francis out this week. It's a collection of Cameron's absolute favourite card creations, and it's one of the coolest projects we have worked on in years. Cameron is such a lovely guy and he's a blast to hang out with. I think that really comes across on this project. Smile We have released full performances of FOUR of the featured tricks if you wanna check them out:

EASY HOF - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJstnCAMLm8
PRECURSOR & THANKS TO WALTON - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD1fVWAfRHo
REDONER - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSVU2XnDpQ8

It's all easy to do material, but picked for having the best impact on spectators. It's out on DVD and Download, and is available at all good magic stores. Smile

Looks like lots of double lifts and elmsleigh counts needed. For me these are aren't necessarily easy to do

BBM has really raised the bar and added a lot of entertainment beyond the material presented with this release.
Love your creativity and imagination guys.
Keep up the great work!!!

The Elmsley count is not difficult especially if you find someone who can teach you in person.

As for the double lift, you don't have to have a magician fooling double lift.

I agree with Mike although I would say although it doesn't have to be a magician fooling double it still needs to be done well and there are lots of different versions it's just a case of searching for what feels best for you.

So many magicians just lift the top 2 cards at the back of the deck with their thumb, such poor, lazy technique. Any double lift but that will do.

Really excited about this project. The routines are very practical and a lot of fun. While there are Elmsley Counts and doubles need for some of the tricks, there's really nothing harder than that on the project (with the lone exception of a Mercury Card Fold for one item). Although not featured in the demo, I have a feeling that Stand Up Christ Aces will be a favorite among many magicians. As the name implies, it's a variation of the Christ Aces with no table required (Although you can use a table for convenience. I use one in the performance as that's how the shoot was set up).

Yes, though I love Cameron Francis stuff, this would be VERY typical Cameron Francis. Nearly everything he creates requires Elmsley count, which he apparently loves, also which I also do not do well at all..and fehgeddabout the one requiring MCF.
And no, I'm not being lazy, just find them very challenging despite my best efforts.

Yep. I can do a decent EC about 97% of the time, but every now and again I mess up so its that 3% that scares me off. I've been trying to master DL's for 5 yrs now and its rubbish unless I can get a really good prep on the fly.

I do have an unabashed love of Elmsley Counts. However, out of the 12 effects on the DVD/Download, only 4 of them require Elmsleys. 8 tricks do not.

The good news is that if you like my magic but don't care for sleights, I have another project on the way that you might really enjoy... Stay tuned...

There is much much more to Cameron than the Elmsley count.

If you do not like the EC substitute something else.

Cameron: I posted the below in another forum. If you have any comments it would be appreciated. Regards and thanks.

On a DVD with Aldo Columbini, Cameron Francis does a packet trick called Reswindled Again (link below). Aldo says "that is my favorite," which is quite a compliment.

https://youtu.be/0UM_nsKhHu4

Question: what are the other best ungaffed packet tricks of this prolific and talented creator? There are many to choose from. Cameron, if you are here, interested to hear your thoughts.

EC was one of the first counts I learned - 30 ish years ago when I purchased the wonderful Rainbow Cascade from Davenports! Soon after I bought Jerry Mentzers superb Counts, Cuts Moves and Subtleties - and that really got me into packet tricks. I even had a (terrible!) one published in the otherwise excellent Club71 magazine from the much missed Repro Magic. I'm so glad I learnt these things when I was younger so I can still do them tolerably well. Which is all by way of saying - keep practising Craigers!! It's worth it.

But back to the thread- there's much more than just Elmsley Count on this project and there are some really brilliantly constructed routines which get you so far ahead you wouldn't believe. I also enjoy the goofy humour which lightens the explanations. Another great release from BBM. My full review is here: https://www.bicycle-cards.co.uk/2019/07/......-review/
