Is that even a regular marked deck? it looks to me to have very specific "other info" on each card. Could it be the marketed effect "The Code"? I don't have that one but I remember it had a lot of info. I have a SUM 2.0 deck in Phoenix Back that is in a specific memdeck order and has extra markings similar to these.

Penguin sells 12 packs of Maiden backed marked decks for $60 i.e. $5/deck. The markings are as you described i.e. one in each corner and one in the middle at the short ends.

Thanks I talked to penguin and they told me all they had were 809 cards. no one seems to be able to know the difference between the 808s and 809s. any input is appreciated.

That's 'The Marksman Deck' by Luke Jermay

It does appear to be a Marksman deck. The confusion over 808 vs. 809 is basically that Mandolin Back is designated as 809 whereas Rider Back is 808. The Ace of Spades from some Mandolin decks show 808 on them. I assume that is because they are identical to Rider Back.

That's right. There are no 808 Mandolin backs, technically. I just checked one of my marksman decks, and it also has '808' on the ace. As does another, different mandolin back deck I have.
I also checked some maiden back decks, which also have the 808 ace. Bicycle must not have created a separate face design for them.

VanshingMagicInc also sells an 809 marked deck. No credit given to Jermay so I’m guessing the markings are different. Markings are shown on their site. Card value, stack number, and next card. Nyman’s The Code is also on Maiden backs, shows same info but uses different marking system.

Oops. Read Maiden back when you asked for mandolin. Sorry.
