Hey guys & gals,
I have created (or think I have created) a one card production that I've showed around to various magicians, and they haven't seen anything like it. It's like an in-the-hands-mechanic's-grip version of the Piet Forton Pop-Out. All the cards are Face Down; the production method is different as well. An on-line Windows Media File (2 MB) is available at: http://kc.outofstandards.com/Video/OneCardArmy.wmv I'm just wanting to find out if anyone knows of a card production like it. Thanks in advance. It is similar to the Hip Hop pop-up move (reference Jeff McBride TAOCM 1)
But he holds the decks by the sides and uses it to produce 4 aces, one at a time.

The Hip Hop Pop-out move on the Jeff McBride Tape is his handling of the Piet Forton Pop-out production which I mention.
The production in the video uses a different methodology, and also does not require the 180 degree set-up used in the standard Piet Forton (or Hip Hop Pop-Out). K.C. Ushijima |

It's been done a million different ways. Still the same move.

This more ressembles Simonoff's "Flippant" move rather then the Forton "Pop Out" move.... Either way, it looks cool...

Nice way to reveal a card. Looks good, you should try to incorporate it into a 4 ace production.

Hey Jason,
Thanks for the compliment. I have a 4 Ace production that looks really similar to this. You can see it at: (15 MB) http://kc.outofstandards.com/Video/CardT......igh).wmv (3 MB) http://kc.outofstandards.com/Video/CardT......low).wmv It's the last production on the video. K.C. Ushijima S.Segal, Lonnie Dilan mentioned to me that it looks like the production Earnest Earick does in his Triumph routine. K.C. |

I don't understand your point phantomace : do you mean that KC's move and the pop-out move are the same ? Is this is the case, you are of course totally wrong because the handling is completely different. Anyway, the idea of producing a card this way (with "inertia") is a very old move which has been used before to produce for example 4 cards at the same time. But I like your idea of "sandwiching" the produced card |

If it is the one which reverses the center packet of cards while in the center of the deck, then I wouldnt really agree. Then again, Lonnie may be talking about a different move. I still feel that your move resembles the "Flippant" production with a mid-deck grab. Maybe Lonnie can clear up which move he means exactly... Either way, good work. S.Segal |
