Today, I was doing magic on my school's stage and I came up with an idea for a illusion that can be impromptu. The idea is probably already taken but I want to make my assistant vanish without any curtains or smoke or mirrors or any kind of distractions; just vanish without a trace and I have the idea to make it happen. The only thing is that it has to be done on stage or the angles will be bad. If you think you know the method email me for any ideas for angle problems.

First of all, what in the world does "Carrot" have to do with anything?
And secondly, you hardly provide enough information for ANYONE to "know the method" based on your pie-in-the-sky description. Perhaps a few more details can help people to help YOU. |

I think carrot has something to do with his name "magiccar8."
I know the magic word to do this. Isn't it Hocus-pocus gilli gilli .....ooops mustn't let out secrets in public. Sorry. |

No offence but will you ever need an impromptu illusion? It's not like someone on the street is going to see you and ask you to saw your girl in half, right there, right then!

If it's taking this much thought and effort to put it together I probably wouldn't call it impromptu. If the idea is to make it look impromptu that's a totally different thing!

Yeah Scott, right you are and if the illusion can only be done onstage then it is NOT IMPROMPTOU imho.

OHH! "Magic Carrot"! I thought Magicr8 stood for "Magic Crate."
And, yes, Scot, it seems most illusions would not be impromptu. And finally, I still wonder if anyone has a clue what the purpose of this post was? Personally, I'd be very intrigued with the method, but I'm afraid to utter "Hocus-pocus gilli gilli" ... darn! There goes my wife! |

People never get asked to do an impromptu illusion? I get asked just about every day. Oh, you're a magician, make her/him disappear, etc. Saw me in half, whatever. Yes, people do get asked to do impromptu illusions, or at least I do, or maybe it is just my messed up high school.

Most of the time when people say "Can you make me disappear?" or "Cut you cut me in half?" people are sort of joking.
Even though impromptu is not needed for this illusion, if it works, then it would look pretty neat. I would have thought it used black art from the description, but I do not really know! |

I also get asked a lot if I can pull a rabbit out of a hat.
