I ordered from Alakazam last night and while it was in stock, received a note stating it was OUT of stock and they will ship when avial. Also ordered a Joel instant Download from Alakazam and got the code but the code does not work. No reply in over 24 hours from my emails and cust service notes to Alakazam. Pretty upset.

That is the problem with lot of on line retail magic shops

Most dealers when they say in stock they are referring to Murphy’s not in stock at the dealers

Only exception to this in Penguin

Not just the in stock issue. Alakazam is not good at providing instant downloads. This is the third time I have had to send emails and fight to get INSTANT videos. Very upset about this. No reply. Money gone. Peter Nardi this is not acceptable!

Are you sure it’s not buried down in your Alakazam account page?
In my experience they do not always notify you that it’s there.

I have always had a fast reply from the team at Alakazam. Are you using the email Address sale@alakazam.co.uk They also have a live chat feature on the website. That may not be possible for you to use as there is an 11 hour time difference between the UK and Hawaii (I think that's your location)

I have been buying Alakazam for many years. Every time the customer service has been first class. I purchased the hidden over 10 years ago. I received the wrong colour. I might have ordered the wrong one. Anyway I called up and told them. No questions they asked for my address and sent me another pack.

Starmanager I am sure that Peter and the team will resolve your issues.

Hi Starmanager,

Firstly please accept my apology for the stock level. This is totally our fault. someone inputted the stock ordered believing it had arrived, human error but we have now corrected it. Joel is getting a new batch made as we speak and the expected delivery is 17th of this month.

Secondly as for the download, no code is needed. The moment you purchase either a streaming video, a download or academy course from Alakazam magic it is delivered to your Alakazam account (this should have been stated on your emailed invoice). So if it is the Joel Dickinson Academy course you are referring to, that will be waiting for you in the Academy Live section of your Alakazam account. Our aim is to answer all emails the same day but obviously if your issue is super urgent we are available by phone or our live chat feature. Both of these will get you instant help and advice.

Alakazam is not a one man band and we do have an actual shop so we are always here and happy to help during shop hours and to be honest usually way past shop hours as I tend to man the live chat service until around 9pm every evening (where possible)

If you have any issues with accessing your video please let me know I will be only too happy to help!

Thank you for the personal reply. What a gentleman! So appreciate the human touch. I will follow your instructions and re-post. I checked my email, got a download code for instant video, input the code in my instant video page on my account and got a blank page for two days. I looked in my videos as well but it was not delivered there. I'll review your video and search in the areas you have mentioned. It would be so much easier if all videos came into one area on your site. Checking three places is hard and instant video (in my pea brain mind) should show up in the category in my account called . . . wait for it . . . INSTANT VIDEOS . . . That said, the sting goes away when the company replies. I have bought thousands of dollars of kit from you in the past few years. I trust your team and the products. This was a fluke issue but so glad you took the time to chime in.

Thank you for the reply. To be honest I'm not usually on the Café and would have missed your issue if a customer hadn't alerted me to it. I hope you have located the videos (if not please let me know) We are always happy to help and get involved to correct any issues that may occur.

Thank you RNK, Yes overseas shipping is surprisingly quick. We have so many customers in the US that receive their items in only 5-7 days. not bad at all!

I have been ordering from Alakazam in England for years and I live as far away as you can in the USA - Maui, Hawaii. My experience with the integrity and the speed of delivery is that they are always first class. No issues there. I only have issues with the format of the download area but that seems to be my personal issue. I trust the company and they ship to USA as well as if ordered at a US company.

I NEVER wanted OUT! I was disappointed on ordering an in stock item and being told it was now out of stock. And not being able to access an instant download. Peter fixed all and was honorable and gracious. That said, my wife agrees with Sean Mann and Doric! But my offer stands for Peter!

I just Love this effect from Joel. The method is ingenious and fooled me bad. The best inexpensive Poker chip Prop available to perform multiple reveals, without the need for very expensive electronic chips in the market.
