I trully menat my appology as I was direspectful to Paul. What has that to do with my asking about the wallet's worth?
My refund was based on misleading information about the wallet. The pic of the wallet was black. I was never given a choice and was given a brown one and told I ahd no choice. This was a customer service issue.

Predator owners - Back to the wallet. A few thoughts/suggestions for you Predator folks. I love the wallet but had a little bit of heartburn over the fact that Mr. Wison warned us (buyers) about using the credit card compartments for credit cards as it made the wallet "appear" too thick. I think that a real life wallet, at least mine, has credit cards in it. I have color zeroxed a few of my credit cards on medium weight paper. They look amazing. I can now fill the wallet with 4 "credit cards" and it adds NO thickness. I use two similiar looking cards on each side so a really observant spectator will not notice that the wallet has a different orientation as the routine evolves. I am new to the Café and really enjoy the ideas presented.

Or why you felt you didn't have to answer Truthteller.

Since you purchased one of the original wallets I didn't understand why you could not answer your own question. Besides alerting us to the color issue (which was helpful) what was your experience in using the wallet as Truthteller asked? |

It isn't a wallet. It's a prop that looks like a wallet.
Complaining that you can't use the Predator as your everyday wallet is like complaining that you can't play poker with a one-way forcing deck. There's no point carrying a one-way forcing deck on its own but it sure can help with some great effects. I happen to think Paperclipped is a fantastic effect but it isn't the be-all and end-all, and just because it uses a cheap prop doesn't mean that every other more expensive prop on the market is automatically not worth the money.
It was a good battle, and they nearly won.

Does anyone think the spectators care what color your wallet is?

Pete, when you pay hundreds for an item and are shown a pic of it in one color and it shows up in a different ghastly color, do you not have a right for an exchange? I was told I couldn't exchnage it-that's just the way it is. That's why I asked for my money back.

I feel for you Chris! I can't believe you can't get your money back! You should at least get a replacement, a wallet in black. Was your purchase from a dealer?

I was refunded my money. I'm only now asking if anyone is using this for laymen and is it worth the money.

MagicChris
When I perform Predator with the Brown wallet, the specs say how ugly the wallet is. Though, when I perform with the black wallet, they simply think it is so nice! They tell me the black wallet is more magical than the brown wallet. Get the HINT!! My predator ROCKS!!! Sly |

Hi,
I must say I love this effect and have floored many a magician and lay person with it. The only downside for me (and it's only a little downside)is that I can't carry this as my everyday wallet. This is the type of effect I would love to be ready to perform anytime but as is I have to make a decision as to "do I take it with me tonight or not?" Ah well you can't have everything and to me the impact this has well I do take it with me make it all worth while. Regards Peter PS. I have fried a few top names with this (don't ask who because I'm not telling!) |
