Jonathan why do you talk as if you think your knowledge is so coveted you have to dispense it in silly riddles everyone has to decipher that only you understand? Just use English. It would be so much easier for those of us mere mortals.

It slows me down. ,..but it's worth the moment. Mr. Salk, Tommy,...your Humour,...bravo! On a thread about suicide, murder(?), international intrigue,...great. Grim and ironic humour in a desperate or hopeless situation is called gallows humour. Perhaps he was in a desperate or hopeless situation, lost his sense of humour and paid the price.
