THE CODE "THE EXCLUSIVE REPERTOIRE OF FENIK"
THE ELEGANCE OF MAGIC IS BACK! Fenik has made his reputation as a magician's magician for more than two decades. He has been a student and friend of true legends of magic and is considered the most outstanding heir of one of the best schools of card magic in the world: the school of Larry Jennings. His mentors, such as Baltazar Fuentes and Michael Skinner, played an important role for Fenik to be trained as the magician he is today, a virtuoso and creator of modern magic. In this work, THE CODE by Fenik, one can appreciate his eclectic style that symbolizes the transition from the classical school of magic to the modern school. His routines such as Air Aces, Round Trip, The Rev, 88 Beast Assembly, Silver Fist and One Card Monte, have been adopted by many magicians and luckily all of these pieces are included in this book and described in detail. In THE CODE, we can also find his most recent creations that are devastating to magicians such as: Miracle, Maximum Penetration, The Number of God, The Kerigma Searchers, Interdimensional and many more. The 210 well-drawn illustrations and text will give the reader the opportunity to learn the magic of "El Maestro" in an easy and entertaining way. The theory chapter contains a practical and objective view on the conception of a magical effect. This vision also offers the necessary tools to improve any act of illusion through the objective analysis of its procedure. Fenik's THE CODE is a new work within magical literature, a legacy of Mexico for the world that will become part of the new classics of magic for the new millennium. Quotes: "I feel THE CODE is on a par with the works of Tamariz and Wonder. THE CODE is not mere hyperbole. It is a scientific method of analyzing magic effects in a codified manner to examine the individual components and determine if the routine will likely succeed as a performance piece. First, let me say that THE CODE is a very important piece of magic literature that should be read multiple times by all magicians. There are, as expected, a variety of amazing magic effects, along with some splendid techniques." - Marc DeSouza "Fenik's latest release, THE CODE, is packed full of powerful magic. The material contains smart, well thought-out routines that are well written and nicely illustrated. His One Card Monte and his Double Depth Illusion are brilliant. It is highly recommended." - Tom Gagnon "Fenik Is one of the most talented magicians I have ever met. His contributions to the magical art inspire us all to create new methods, exciting presentations and strong magic to amaze our audiences." - Jeff McBride "Fenik is one of most skillful magicians I know. This book will be wonderful for anybody who loves classic and twisted magic. Recommended!" - Shoot Ogawa "The magic not only emanates from him -- it oozes out of him because his CODE is magic. Without a doubt Fenik is one of the world's best modern magicians of our time. THE CODE is a true jewel that will become a classic of modern magic." - Baltazar Fuentes "I have known Fenik for over 27 years and his creativity and thought process never ceases to amaze me. What Fenik does is not magic but rather, magical." - Howard Hamburg "The wealth of material that comes from Fenik's mind is amazing." - Larry Horrowitz "In Fenik I found an artista with a well-furnished head and a virtuous technician." - Manuel Cuesta "The magic included in THE CODE is visual, shocking and amazing. THE CODE blew me away." - Ettiene Pradier "THE CODE is a Masterpiece." - Allan Ackerman More info: https://www.murphysmagic.com/search.aspx?f=298 Best regards, Titanas

I worked on the project for a year and a half doing the writing in Spanish and 200+ illustrations. I use Kerigma Searchers, Road Trip, Second Skin Invisible Palm, 88 Beast Assembly, Silver Fist, One Card Monte, Maximum Penetration and Add X in my professional repertoire.
The theory section polished the way I think about magic. Daren: Some of them are angle-proof, some of them have more than 180° of good angles, anothers are 180°. None of the effects are "only for camera tricks", NONE. Some effects are perfect for strolling or table hopping, others need a table. You will find something for you. CardGuyMike: Yes, everything except for Sky Travellers. The book is 300+ pages long and contains 27 effects and a revolutionary theory chapter. |

There's a school of Larry Jennings? Is that next door to the school of Bruce Cervon?

Hey guys
After having translated the book into English the theory portion, and trying out some of the effects I have added a subtlety for purchasers on the effect Miracle especially at the beginning. I shared it with Fenik about a year ago and he liked it because it is more Mentalism based. If you want to know more send me a PM Alex

Just ordered on the basis of David's review (above) and also Wizard Product Review. I will have to be patient as shipping from USA to UK (almost half the price of buying it in UK - crazy!)

I have gone through this book in detail with cards in hand.
It is commercial magic that is well thought out, and there really is no filler. However, it was not well edited -- at least not the English version. Forgetting the occasional typo, there were many instances where you are told to use specific cards to follow along, but the description calls out the wrong cards. Sometimes it is a card you aren't even holding, sometimes it is. Very confusing. Video instructions (or at least performances) would have been helpful. It would have been nice if they threw in The Beast Collection with the book. |

Hard to say without so much as a video presentation to refer to, although there are some performances on YouTube. And then where would I post such a list for maximum effect? |
