Brilliant Arthur hadn't even gotten to the obvious stuff yet.
7. The media once reported I had a strange love of chocolate. I denied it as untrue. 8. My biggest success came in 1979 when I released a song about terrorists. 9. I once did a duet with David Bowie and the really obvious 10. I had a four-year romance with Mic Jagger, but we never married, and it was suggested that he may not have been the only rolling stone I slept with.

Thanks, Cliff! I just thought of all the rock ’n’ roll casualties (like myself) that I’ve met or are familiar with, and concluded Marianne must be on that list.
Here's one that shouldn't take too long to solve: 1. My mother was a midwife. 2. My father played trumpet and piano. 3. I have an extensive vocal range. |

Foolsnobody's got it!
These would have been the rest of my clues: 6. I was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. 7. I play left-handed guitar. 8. I’m one of the most successful composer/performers of all time. 9. My first band was The Quarrymen. 10. I also received an OBE. |

The left handed part would have given it to me. I have seen three different Beatle tribute bands, and not one of them features a left handed Sir Paul.
Anybody know the difference between an OBE and being Knighted?

I knew a bass player/singer in NYC who had a Beatles tribute band, and who actually played left-handed bass.
Among his many other awards and honors, Paul Mcartney was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1965, and received a knighthood in 1997 for his services to music. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. A knighthood, and the female equivalent, a damehood, is an award given by the queen to an individual for a major, long-term, contribution in any activity, usually at a national or international level. Men who are knighted become Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) and shall be called Sir, while women become Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (DBE) and get the title Dame. |

Well, until Foolsnobody shows up again, here's a quick one:
1. I was born out of wedlock. 2. While I was in the cradle a bird opened my mouth with its tail. 2. Later, I enjoyed painting although I had no formal training. |

I still recall the day I met Beaker from the Muppets. He said to me "Meep, meep, mee mee mee Meep!", and that has made all the difference.
