The latest segment of my "Lifestyles of the Starving Artist" series: use watermelon juice to make tomato soup for a healthy base that contains no tap water (ie: no chlorine, no bleach, no fluoride), just pure water filtered by nature.

Starving artists need to put some meat on their bones. Watermelons, as the name suggests, are 99% water and so good for losing weight.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Doesn't the water in watermelon depend on the ground water from where it's grown? Unfortunately nature ain't so natural these days.

Groundwater here is safe to drink (some of my neighbors still have wells), while the tap water has toxins in it which kill living things, it does not detox the body - it puts toxins into the body. Watermelon is a natural water filter, it is mostly filtered water (distilled by the sun and filtered naturally by the dirt and the roots of the plant) ... instead of putting toxins into the body, it takes them out of the body. Here is a website where you can enter your zip code and get a report on what toxins are found in your water: https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/ At least ten toxins have been found in my tap water, and it doesn't taste good. I believe that is why there is so much soda consumption in this country: the water doesn't taste good anymore so people add sugar to make it taste better. -JoeJoe

People drink soda because sugar and caffeine are addictive. And water is yucky.

Spring water doesn't taste yucky, it is delicious. Or ... at least, it used to be. It was when I was a kid. My neighbor is retired and he tells how he used to drink from the streams around here when he was a little boy, you cannot do that today. They are too polluted, it wasn't always like this. It has actually never been like this. -JoeJoe

In the high Sierra's of my youth we were taught that a vigorous, tumbling stream purifies itself ever twenty feet (oxygen exposure),
but each stream might have a unique taste form the plants upstream. Native Americans could tell when berries were ripe upstream by the water taste. We are fortunate to have a spring on our property, but we are still forced to buy city water along with the sewer fee (can't put in a septic tank either). So, it is not just the water that is polluted.

No need for such chemicals, my melons bust on their own if they are planted downhill where the water collects - have to plant them on a hill or they get too much water.
It is water that makes the melons get bigger, not chemicals. They are like big giant water balloons - fun to grow!! There'll be another video on growing melons, most likely not till next summer. -JoeJoe
