Wondering whether I should purchase this book. I've read good reviews on Penguin among others.

It's an expensive book considering it's only covering one topic, but it's an important topic because so many really good effects require set ups and a sound knowledge of deck switching is a great asset. There's a review here which gives some idea of what you're getting:
