And does the book help those that do not have the gimmick learn how to buy one? LOL. Truly the most frustrating vendor I have ever tried to deal with!!

I literally haven't seen anything last over 10 minutes and must sell within five minutes. So, if yo have a life, the chance of buying a Lassen coin direct is zero. Jamie is reliable, but seriously backlogged. I'm not sure how Roy is since to move to Vegas. Chinese replicas are about the only alternative, but I don't believe they have a tt yet. |

(Please don’t crucify me for this for it is only an option). In response to “where to get one” Jamie’s 3cm/3cmx are Both options (I know it is a very fickle subject and I don’t wish to open this can of worms or make this a “Jamie/Todd” debate or history lesson.) Roy Also makes a decent balanced 3 coin nest. The triple tuc can be adapted in some ways also.

Here is also an option (though not magnetic so the un-nesting will not operate the same). https://www.seomagic-usa.com/product_inf......_id/1773 . I also know Ronald Davies is making magnetic 3 coin nests for a decent price of 275 usd (210 sterling for the uk folk). The triad coins gimmick by Joshua jay (as mentioned earlier I believe) would suffice besides the fact the coins aren’t going to deshell as one unit every time.

The early bird catches the worm, so to speak. He’s been having a hell of a tough time of late. I certainly agree that this isn’t the time for any mud flinging. I am grateful that my own Lassen collection was built up when I could check the time in Colorado, from the other side of the Atlantic, and call at a sensible hour. I had some good chats with Todd, he also has great taste in music. |

I know the operation is quite different, but I wonder how much this set could be adapted for the routines? https://www.jbtvusa.com/p/latest-j-b-pro......swadling . I don’t own the set (though have seen one in action) I imagine some things just wouldn’t be the same, but it might be a fun thing to try out if you own the set.

...Todd is out of business for all practical purposes and Jamie is busy with other projects it seems. I think it is totally appropriate to seek alternatives. That's wrong. I've heard Todd is going to make a large batch of these from UNC 1921 Morgan's. For people who don't have one if you're seriously interested in acquiring one I seriously suggest that you get over to his blog and sign up for alerts. Make a comment in the thread titled "Regarding Tam's Upcoming TT Book..." When those TT's are finished and he puts them up for sale, trust me when I say, "They'll go like the California hills do every fall." Not sure if we can post a direct link or not but if you google search for COOL OTIS DEALS and have an IQ over 100 (that's smarter than the average bear if ya dint know) I bet you can find it. This is easy guys. Make a comment with your interest in it. I'd assume the more interest the more that'll be made. |

I will tread very carefully with a response to Todd via his update. I think I speak for every person who has had the blessing of owning a tt from him or those that wish to; it is a work of art and we aren’t complaining that tam’s new book put such a demand for the tt that he is going to make more and they aren’t going to last more than 3 seconds before being sold out. With that being said; I sincerely feel for him with the capitalistic Consequences of releasing the tt originally. BUT, with such a demand (even before tam’s started with the second book), I think that some of us (or at least myself) have no other option but to find a way to make do (I own a version made by another maker and have tried over and over to be the early bird when he releases a set on the blog) and I’m just simply not that lucky ha. I can empathize with the whole bitter stolen idea (long story of a proprietary idea I was swindled out of) though are the consumers to be blamed for making do with what is available? I for sure wasn’t like “screw Todd” when I bought mine made by another person. If anything; I was excited to at least be able to perform things from the original triple threat book that I bought second hand and learn the history of the tt. I feel that it is almost as I am supposed to be ashamed for buying a set that isn’t an original...I’m not saying that is his goal, but it gets presented that way. I am a firm believer Magic is to be accessible for everyone who sincerely want to progress in the art...not set on a timer/blog update. I love Todd’s products; and the day I can get a triple threat to support him directly; I absolutely will. Until then, I refuse to feel guilty for supporting another supplier who offers a similar product.

Jxb1989 - well said and agree completely. If you want to enjoy the many things one can do with a TT, and have a zippo chance of getting one, whether out of stock or beaten to the offering, going elsewhere has to be an option.

This is a slippery slope fellers, undoubtedly leading to a closing and probable removal of the thread.
As I understand it, if you didn’t get your C/S/B from the originator, it is a stolen idea. How many here are using authorized C/S/B gimmicks? I suspicion very few. As I understand it, it was invented by and patented by Presley Guitar. |

Exactly. Every viper wallet user is using functions that were not given the proper permissions when created. @steve...justifying a rip-off of? In some lights maybe...or using what resources I have available. How many people use Paul diamond sets? Most of those are ripoff too. But they are never shamed.

With that being said, I’m not here to argue or bash anyone for their values or morals . @steve, I see your posts often and you are a wealth of knowledge...I didn’t mean that comment as a personal attack.
