Didn't see if this got answered yet ....
Is this instantly repeatable or a one-time only solve? Instantly repeatable, but the motions and the cube "mess" is identical as before - so don't perform it for the same person twice in a row. What's the reset time? The cube begins and ends in a solved state - so the reset is instant. |

Heck, I'm impressed, elimagic, that you learned to do it in "under 2 minutes" with Cube3. But under a minute? No way. You will have to learn additional algorithms to accomplish that. |

I know wired did a YouTube video tutorial of a beginners method, and wtih that version under a minute is achievable (a couple extra algorthyms were added to the last layer). Personally, I think you need to get to the point where you can solve it in under a minute (especially when table hopping, or mid performance). 2 mins plus is just too long if you need to repeat cube routines throughout a night. Start with a beginners method and then learn F2L for the middle section of the solve, stick both together and you'll be under a minute with a enough practice And better yet, learn to solve to a stack, that way you never need to show the audience the cube is solved until you decide! |

Looks amazing....
HOWEVER, in one of the demos, they solved the cube and handed it to a spectator to examine AFTER the cube was solved. The spectator then started mixing the cube again.... QUESTION: Odds are that the spectator will then hand you back the mixed cube and ask you to repeat the effect... Can you repeat the visual cube solve again after the spectator mixes ? I suspect "no". But, I needed to ask. If not, then what excuse do you give the spectator for not doing it again ?

^ No you cannot do it again if they mixed it up. Unless you get it back to the proper st#*k.
But if they did mix in on their own after, I would just use that as an opportunity to show them "something just as crazy"...and lead in to to a mixed cube match a la Perfect Square, Rubicon, etc. |

As videoman suggested, you could then use the paper bag solve, or any of the other HH effects. The RD Insta Cube can be used with any of Henry's gimmicks. |

I would need to spend more time with it to determine positively but first indications seem to be that they play together just fine. If this is the case you could begin with an instant solve using RD Insta and then hand the cube out and flow right into Venom cube. That should alleviate any worries of a spec mixing up your cube, because you are asking them to. |

Thank you very much videoman, compatibility with venom cube was my main question

You know it’s funny because I only had a very short time to try it out before I had to leave and like I said it seemed to work fine with my Venom cube. But I’m having trouble actually believing it because if true I can’t fathom why more hasn’t been made of this fact in the advertising and such. That seems like a very obvious selling point. Maybe it was and I overlooked it.
So I keep questioning it, thinking I must have gotten something wrong or they would be making a huge deal about it to entice their existing customer base. |

They do talk about Venom in the tutorial video.
Maxy, the order suggested is : Mix up cube. Solve instantly w/ RD insta. Hand out for inspection. Encourage them to mess up that cube as much as they like. Show the Venom cube under a glass as a prediction. Encourage them to mess their cube up more. Take their cube, show that it matches your prediction via Venom. That means your RD insta is set up initially with your strong Venom cube. They provide some extra stuff to help gimmick your Venom cube to work more effectively with RD Insta, although as noted it works out of the box okay. |

I really like the one cube routine as taught on the download that is going to be my route of choice! Short punchy routine and very visual ending!

Looks great, for someone who has yet to get any of Henry's creations (but I do have Cube 3 and Cube FX), which would you prefer?
- RD Insta - Instantly solves the cube - Rubik's Dream (Regular) - Shells for full size and mini cubes - Rubik's Dream 360 - Full shell with the ability to rotate one edge - Venom Cube - Instantly matches a mixed up cube by spectator I'm leaning toward the Venom Cube but RD Insta looks great, too. Would love to get others' opinions. |

I don't have insta but I do have all the others as well as several others from different creators. All are fantastic but for me, Venom is the clear winner and the only one I currently use. It is about as perfect a solution as you can find for this type of effect. It is so clean that there are absolutely no questionable/fast/hidden moves and there is absolutely no way a spectator could reconstruct or figure it out.
