I was just rewatching this download and wanted to mention again how good it is. Every item in this download you will want to learn and use. Well thought out , clever and material Aljaz obviously performs. If you're looking for some new magic for your holiday shows and gatherings, I'd recommend getting this now. You'll be really glad you did. Check out his website for details , etc. and order it!

I know Aljaz for some time now. And everything you see on On the shoulders he does for real. I have seen him perform countless of times the routines in this project.
The reactions he get are amazing and showing me it are workers. Some things are a bit knacky but fun to put the work in. Great lessons are thought on here that are easy to mis. Keep an eye on this guy, actually both because this is great and I know for sure there is more to come. |

Thank you Tom and Danny for your nice words! I really appreciate it.
If anyone is interested, here is a description of the project, the effects and routines... ON THE SHOULDERS: As the title might tell you, this project is dedicated to ALL the giants of the past and present, on the shoulders of which, we all stand. However I do want to list a couple of names as they were either a direct or significant influence OR both, on my magic and specifically on the routines you can find in On the Shoulders. Daniel Garcia, Homer Liwag, Joe Rindfleisch, Roy Walton, Marcus Eddie, Mike Vincent, Dan Harlan, James Brown, Denis Behr, J.B. Bobo,.... THANK YOU! The view is amazing up here CONTENT: G-link: An impromptu link & unlink of 2 rubber-bands with some very visual and strong convincers. enOssalG: An impromptu , extremely visual and fooling, three phase 2 coins through glass routine that could get you bookings alone. It has served Aljaz well over the years. First version published in MAGIC Magazine in October 2012. Rock&Roll Inc.: The audience is offered an explanation to how two rubber bands might create an illusion of being linked together. The 'lesson' then turns on its head and leaves the audience baffled. Jazzy Collectors: This is Aljaz’ take on the classic Collectors plot. If done correctly, it might become your favourite. Jazz Band: A multiphase routine where a rubber band can seemingly melt through your skin, fabric, turns invisible and just as easily appears right back on your wrist, where it started. Featuring the Slip-Grip, a principle that hopefully sparks your own creative magic juices. The Proof Vanish: This unique way of vanishing a coin will not only leave your spectators in awe, but leave actual proof of the vanished object behind. Use it in any of your existing coin routines. Exclusive routine! Hound Band: A card is selected, signed and returned in the deck in a very fair manner. A rubber band is wrapped around the deck, twice. The band disappears and is immediately found wrapped around the signed card, twice! The effect is then offered to be repeated, but the band and the card vanish and reappear in the magicians pocket (or almost any impossible location). Taking heed from Band-Up !(James Brown) and learning the vanish of Herbert, The Trained Rubber Band (Denis Behr), Hound Band by AllJazz adds some things that have not been done before in this type of effect. The credit for originating the premise is Hiroyuki Sakai with his routine Band On The Run (1991) If anyone has any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask. Kind regards Aljaz |

On Dec 12, 2019, puggo wrote: Hi Puggo, G-link this is the most visual and deceptive rubberband link I have seen, this one need some practice(like most rubberband effects) but well worth putting the time in. enOssalG is nice coin through glass, if you do coin work you will get this one down pretty easy. If you are new to coin magic there are some nice handlings for a nice introduction to coin magic Rock&Roll Inc is my favourite effect on this project. I have seen Aljaz doing this effect many times and it kills. Love the presentation for a sucker explanation and than you still getting them fooled big time. Love you explaining an effect(linking rings/ rubberbands) and stil getting them fooled. Jazzy Collectors I am not a fan of a collectors routine so I didn't look at this one, it is not this version it is just not my effect. Knowing Aljaz it will be good but not my thing so you need to find that out for yourself. Jazz Band is not just an effect it is a concept you can learn and create some new effects. The effect he teaches are good but I am sure if you play with this you can come up with some nice routines yourself. The concept is great. The Proof Vanish is so easy yet so fantastic, if you do coin magic this must be in your bag knowledge. This one is a keeper and so easy to do. So what I mean by knacky is that rubberband effects need some work to get it done, don't let this scare you. Aljaz is a great teacher and you will get this down in no time. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions |

I loved the Download as well as the lecture notes.
I'm not someone that would perform rubber band magic (it's just not something I like that much), but the rubber band material is wonderful and great looking. The two things which really piqued my interest were the Coin through glass routine and the "Proof Vanish". The proof vanish is something that I use now in my professional work from time to time, it's not something that I do often, but when the vibe I get from the people is just right it can make a mayor and magical impact on that group. It has something real to it. The coin through glass routine is not something that I'm planning to perform for a while, however, I loved the idea of the coin trough the glass since I first read a version of this plot in CarneyCopia and I feel that Aljaz added some great touches and moments to this beautiful plot. All in All, I really enjoyed the way that the download was shot and it feels like a special yet entertaining final product |

Thank you for your comment and interest puggo!
As Danny mentioned, I don't think "knacky" is the right term for any of the techniques in this project, however some, like G-link will require some significant practice. With G-link the set-up is definitely not easy (however it takes 2 seconds to do when mastered) and is also a real "knuckle-buster" when practicing the routine as you have to hold a tight grip between two knuckles pretty much the entire routine. Here is a performance from a couple of years ago on my IG: https://www.instagram.com/p/BQTEUk-DzCa/......opy_link All in all I think it is the hardest item in the project, will likely require more than a few hours of practice and getting used to, however in my humble opinion... it is worth the time for the visual nature and some nice convincers. Thank you Danny and Rico for your comments, opinions and views. Much appreciated. |

I've known Alijaz for around 3 years now (wow time flies!) and his elastic band magic blows my mind. I love rubber band tricks and do a fair few but Alijaz brings so much more to the table. His G Link is incredible and I plan to put it in my working set . The Hound Band as well I loved! I'm a massive fan of his work and really enjoy it, he will go incredibly far in this industry with his unique ideas and take on old classics. I'm jealous of how good he is!

Thank you for your words, you are TOO KIND! Has it really been 3 years since you came to the Amsterdam Magic Show for the first time?! That's crazy, time really does fly! I hope you can come back soon! Cheers!!! |

I purchased this from Alajaz. I buy and do a fair amount of rubber band stuff. It’s hard to argue with the pocket space and it’s not a card trick. I enjoyed the band magic on this project. Just as advertised fooling (fooled me) and elegant additions to some work that has been done in the past. most of which I’m familiar with since I’m a band nerd. The teaching is good with some over the shoulder shots. I also liked and will probably perform the coins through glass. I can’t comment much about the card stuff. Regards to “knacky “ I consider knacky to be stuff that has a juggling component that won’t work 100% of the time even when you’re good at it. I wouldn’t consider these magic that. Just repetitive work to ensure you can keep the necessary finger positions to keep the bands fixed. I thought it was worth the money.

Thank you also for your very nice words about some of the effects in this project. I would love to hear your thoughts, after performing enOssalG (coins through glass),... that one actually got me some bookings in the past. All the best Aljaz |

I am so impressed with this.
I met Aljaz at the session and he performed some of the effects from this download. Notice I said performed and not demoed.... Aljaz is such a talented and creative magician. He is so natural, I can’t wait to see what he will bring in the future. Best regards, Titanas

Had a chancre to check out Aljaz's project and it is really, really good! I don't do a lot of rubber band magic, but I might have to start after seeing some of these elastic miracles.
Two highlights for me were Enossalg, the coins in glass routine, and Hound Band, wherein a rubber band finds a selected card. All of the effects on here are strong and very practical. My kind of magic!

Hey Cameron!
Thank you for your wonderful comments! I am happy you enjoyed the project that much! You should definitely jump into rubber band magic,... next to my small contributions there are plenty other amazing elastic miracles for you to explore like Joe Rindfleisch's work and recently my friend Danny Urbanus came out with his first commercial release on The Vault titled Lazy Man's Penetrations ( https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......c=704598 ) - looks like CGI!
