Hello from the piney woods of east texas. I am 83 years old and have been a magic fan since childhood. Still dabble a bit but mostly collect vintage magic effects. I am lucky enough to have a few good ones, Deans Box, light heavy box, Abbotts Cube Release, Abbotts Torturette, Spirit Box. Have several more smaller effects along with what I think will be collectable in the future. I have been a fan of this for a while and after seeing what folks do here I decided to join.

Thanks for greetings gents. As to what is the favorite in my collection, well I love them all. When you hold and use an effect from the 1940's and look at it's construction the quality and craftsmanship is outstanding and most pieces today will not compare, there are exceptions of course. I think they can remind us of days gone by and where they have been who used them. One of my favorites is Abbotts Cube On Release, I think it came out around 1948.Also have Torturette great quality construction. These old pieces are really a part of history to The art of magic.

Welcome Gerald Blankenship,

I have to admit, I love some of the older props but they are heavier LOL.

We have other collectors here so you are in good company.
