I was a bit disappointed after viewing my DVD R Paul Wilson Extreme Possibilities Vol !.
For the life of me I can never figure why they put effects on there and don’t include explanations. That’s not very nice. It’s like holding a juicy steak in front of a dog’s nose then pulling it away. Shame on them! Anyways, vol 1 includes performance of a very nice routine, Con Cam Monte, but lo and behold, no explanation. Anybody familiar with this routine and could direct me to where I could actually LEARN the durn thing??

Not to sound rude but it might be worth trying to search something on penguin before posting: https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/6179
Re putting performance only effects on dvds, for me it is extremely useful to see these types of things-they first inspire me in terms of effect, but also in terms of presentation. I would genuinely say that I often learn more from performances than I do explanations. |

Also Joshua Jay says that his favourite ever magic video is 'An Evening at the Tom Foolery starring Tom Mullica', which has no explanations on it. Joshua says that ' There is so much to observe here concerning routining, timing, and audience interaction. This is a perfect example of where footage of a subject is far more helpful than a book on the same subject.'-and I completely agree.

I payed good money for the DVD, and for me at least, getting my money’s worth means explanations as well as performances. If you’re not going to tell me how to do the trick then for heaven’s sake, don’t tantalize me with a performance only. tan·ta·lized; tan·ta·liz·ing transitive verb : to tease or torment by or as if by presenting something desirable to the view but continually keeping it out of reach

I'm not sure where you got it from but the ad copy here does say performance only: https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S9894
