I released Pure last summer, and after a couple of hiccups with language issues and such it went on to become one of my best-selling effects. If you bought Speak CAAN Spell, I referenced a completely hands-off ACAAN that I was working on in conjunction with Pure in that document, but also mentioned that it was hellishly complicated and suited to larger performing environments. Pure2 is I guess a halfway house between what I mentioned in SCS and what the original Pure was.
At its most basic, Pure2 is a completely hands-off 'Card at Predicted Number' effect. That is to say, the spectator names any card, you show a prediction of a number that has been in full view throughout, they remove the cards from the case, deal to the number, and the card they named is there. You've touched nothing. But it's so much more than that. The method employed allows you to do a fully-fledged, completely hands-off ACAAN, that will be successful the vast majority of the time (the predicted number fixes the misses): They name a card and a number to go with it. They remove the cards from the case and deal to their number. Their named card is staring them in the face! Promises Self-working Any card can be named You never touch the cards in any way at any time Spectator always removes and deals the cards and they're always dealt face up No maths of any kind No Nail Writing No pre-show or confederates Minimal arts and crafts Compromises Obviously(?), when performing the ACAAN version, sometimes the number named by the spectator will not match the card's location, so from this point you'll switch to a 'Card At Predicted Number' style of effect as described above, however this happens much less frequently than you might think (with average luck, they'll name the correct number around 60% of the time) and even if they miss, they'll usually be very close. An advanced handling is included that takes this into the 90% success range for the number they choose. When thinking as to what must happen for an ACAAN to work successfully, it's apparent that a handful of cards in some locations can be tricky to deal with. With that in mind, whilst any card can be named, 12 are handled differently though these can be easily avoided through patter. https://youtu.be/zSket97bgBI in case my embed doesn't work! Picked this up as soon as I got the email and read through it already. I liked Pure, but this is better. It's not the holy grail, because nothing really is. But it's good, and you have a high likelihood of what appears to be a real miracle occurring, though even in cases where that doesn't happen, you're pretty well covered for every other situation. Some are more miraculous than others, but Adrian has really thought through these, and greatly limits the likelihood of the slightly less impressive outcomes from ever happening. It does require a crib, which I know some people don't like, but I don't see it as an issue here.

There's a few days to go to use the discount if you bought the original version of Pure - I'll keep it there until this appears on Penguin, so it should be good until next Friday or so I would guess. Happy weekend (until United play...) Adrian |

Adrian was nice enough to send it to me for review and I would of posted it earlier but my printer wasn't working so I had to wait a few days to post it. I really like the 1st version, and this second one uses a similar method for a different effect. I actually prefer the 1st one. To me the 1st one is more simple and easy to do. I really do like this version too. It does use a crib which I know some people don't like, but if you like what you see in the trailer you should buy it because what you see is what you get. If you have any other questions you can ask me and Adrian is very helpful too. I'd give it a 4/5
