[Please visit downstairs for an unedited version of this review.]
I am just back from attending The Session in London organized by Vanishing, Inc. I went there with business card billets on my mind, and I was not disappointed. I am not one to hype things on the Café, but I was so moved by the kindness, generosity, and BEAUTIFUL billet work of Christian Grace, that I'd like to share my experience. Full Disclosure: I had never heard of Christian prior to this weekend. I promised him that I'd be the first in line to buy Switch One when it's released (hopefully next month after Blackpool). And writing this (p)review was my idea, not Christian's. As I understand it, Christian will be releasing a product which contains several well thought out techniques with billets. This includes the s****h, the p**k, the i***x, etc. But double check all that when it's released. I'm not sure, and I think the release is still evolving. What I am sure about, is that the main one (Switch One) is a thing of (dare I say it?) terrifying beauty, with a retention of vision which I simply could not see through. I was speechless. I watched Christian repeatedly pick up a folded business card and slowly and cleanly open it, and it was done. Had he not so generously shared some of the "work" with me (I was very persistent!) I would not believe it was possible. The hour I spent sessioning with him about billets was the highlight of a really great convention. With Switch One, in my opinion, Christian both improves the method AND changes the moment. Obviously, different circumstances require different tools, but Switch One seems to be the perfect tool for many of those occasions. But the reason I am writing this is not because it's a perfect and practical technique (I'd be happy enough to keep it to myself), but because Christian was such a nice and lovely guy, and a very solid thinker AND a super technician, and I'd like to see him (and people like him) be very successful. I highly recommend checking out the trailer for Switch One by Christian Grace when it's released. I'm sure it will look beautiful on the screen. And I'd like to assure you that it looks just as beautiful in real life. |

I have to agree. Christian showed me this at the session too and it is so clean it’s not even funny.

When Christian showed me it at the Session, I thought it was a joke. Nothing happened. He just opened a billet! Soooo good!
And I agree - Christian is the nicest guy Ross

I saw Christian perform this at Blackpool and can only echo what Second Sight has already said. However clean this ends up looking in the trailer won’t do justice to how it looks in the flesh. Mind blowing!

It’s hard to get too much of an impression from the Blackpool video. It looks a bit like Nickolas Lawrences Revolve, which is available now.
Does anyone care to compare them? |

Completely different things. Only similarity is that its using a playing card folded in quarters.
All the best, Dan |

In the video it uses a playing card but in reality it also works with a billet folded into quarters.

I think the execution is not ideal and the way it is set up is 'wrong'. I am quite surprised that Christian Grace chose to setup that way.
There is a way to make the working at least 50% faster and more risk-free. Alex Hui Hong Kong

Check out the thread downstairs for a much deeper discussion on this, and a video which properly shows Switch One in action and in context.

I had a chance to discuss with Christian Grace. Though I can't talk too much because there is secret involved but I learnt that the product will be out soon.
Then we can have a better understanding of the product and discuss more constructively (not revealing the secret of course). Alex Hui Hong Kong
