Anyone using a mini projector? I didn't even realise these existed until the other week and saw someone using one. It was about the size of a packet of cigarettes. I only use a projector very briefly in my show. To project a list of words up on a wall. No moving images or sound required. Therefore I need something simple but with the highest lumens possible. Been looking online but there are hundreds of models, all claiming to be amazing.
Any recommendations for something simple and bright would be much appreciated. |

Ed, I am very interested in this topic as well. I use projection for about 50 seconds during my stage show. So far I have been very lucky that the venues have had projecting capability, however, anything I can add to not make my life more stressful is a plus! I am almost to the point that I will buy one and see if it works then leave feedback. I am not sure how long it will take me to get one but eventually I will.

Https://www.amazon.com/BYINTEK-Portable-......7TLNZYN2 may be of interest to close-up theater performers as it purportedly will mirror an android camera's captured frame for real-time projection from table-top performances. I do not own it but have messaged with a seller to this mirror point. Of course, it will also project video or photos without the mirror feature.
I'm in the market for a starter one around that price range where the theatre must be reasonably dark. I currently have a Showwx+ and don't recommend it for a few reasons I'll detail if anyone needs more info. The Showwx+ does however handle bright rooms relatively well, given its small size. |
