I stand by my opinion admittedly without performing it or owning it and I don’t rule out buying. I have no problem with the price for such a beautiful prop. But impossible doesn’t always equal magical. It seems like a very small moment. I assume but don’t know that it can’t be reset in front of the spectators and it it’s the sort of thing that begs to be repeated. With my style I have had some problems performing with items that looks like normal objects but aren’t. People seem to know there is something special. I’m sure everyone who owns it will come on hear and tellme different. I’m just offering a personal observation. Jeff is super creative and it looks like a beautiful prop.

@ JustJoshin - if you do speak to Jeff, be great if you could let him know there is definitely interest in the key as well as the other products on the sight. That way it's not just exclusive to the conventions (for those who can't attend)?

I think I'm missing something. Is there a demo on the site? If there is I can't seem to find it.

In the site footer there are a bunch of labeled button I think one says tutorial it teaches you how all the tricks work and how to do them. This is not a lie

Looks really nice! The only question that I have is long term, how are the tolerances in relation to it starting to wiggle/loosen up once in the locked position?

The only issue I had (and I still believe it was error on my end) was I was pulling so hard when doing the trick, I “overshot” the lock. I had to take it back a tiny bit, to engage the lock. It wasn’t a big deal, and didn’t damage it or keep it from working in anyway. I reached out to Jeff, and even explained that I think it was my own fault. Without hesitation, he exchanged it for a new one. Here’s what you can learn from this: 1. Watch the explanation video first, before jerking the key around 2. Even if it does what mine did, you can fix the issue in performance without notice 3. Jeff’s customer service is top notch! When you buy his products, he makes sure you’re happy with it and able to use it. And if something is wrong, he will replace it. I absolutely love mine, I use it almost daily. It lives on my keys, and is always ready to go. |

But length of time is irrelevant anyway as it’s the number of uses that’s important. If one person performs it twice a week and you perform it 40 times per week then yours will almost certainly wear out sooner. Although I can totally understand your concern, in practice it’s virtually impossible to know with certainty. You're almost never going to get a guarantee that a magic prop will last a certain length of time. Even with a warranty you have no guarantee the prop will be available or the company will still be in business in the future. So unfortunately you just have to hope for the best assuming that the majority of immediate reviews don’t denounce it as poorly made. |

Thanks Mpilkey for the advice. It's super easy and tempting to not watch the explanation in it's entirety before trying it out lol
Videoman- I completely agree, so many variables to consider, but one of the main ones is number of uses. I'm not sure what's an reasonable amount before it's a little loose after being locked. Hopefully 1,000? that may be a tad bit high *shrugs*

But the Milage you get out of it, will make it worth the purchase. Plus, these are so hot right now, that if you didn’t like it, you could probably sell it pretty easily. |

I love mine. Its an awesome visual moment that takes up no pocket space and is always on you. The little keychain pouch thing that comes with it for the reset is also a great touch. Cant see anyone being disappointed with this - highly recommended.

I'm sure I'm just old but it would have taken very little to hide all the exposure videos on the site.
The videos are basically advertising videos.

I saw this and all of Jeff's new releases at Magifest. Jeff is a great guy and very open when he demos his stuff. The workings of this are incredible and invisible. Hard to believe he could design such a system in such a small object (key). I didn't buy it because the magic is confined to such a small space, I worried about visibility and where I would use it. But if you like what you see, it looks just as good in person.

Nice work Jeff. This thing looks amazing. While at first blush, not the most contextual, have you ever tried tying anything that's impenetrable, like a rubber band or string onto it. Or something like a safety pin. Have it jump?

Got mine today.
This seems very well made and looks good. I'm sure it will become an everyday carry along with my other key effects I often have on me, like Freakey, Keymaster and Florida Keys. As Eric mentioned in a previous post, this is pretty extreme close-up, it's very tiny. It's probably best for 1 or 2 specs, and it's nice that one of them can be holding it. But I think if you held it up higher in front of your face a slightly larger group would be able to see it. Kudos to Jeff for developing this and putting it out. It's very cool. Edited to add that I discovered that a much larger gimmick allows me to reset it with the gimmick inside the incuded leather pouch which is very convenient. This may be my preferred method but need to work with it more. |
